[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Cheers

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

All due respect, why hasnt this beenbdone yet? 3000+ votes and counting. It is not so hard to do. Check out the "Calm" readio app. I LOVE LOVE that feature!! The sleep timer/auto off feature is the most attractive feature in this app & best part... it is NOT associated with a phone's platform! I have discovered a large community of people who signed up and/or made the mistake of paying for Spotify only to be deeply disappointed in discovering that such a commercial and followed app as Spotify fails to include this necessary music-listening & playing tool. so they, including mys lf,  rarely use Spotify anymore for this reason. Particularly with such a meditation and sleep variety like Kelly Howell & Deepok. Im down for coming back to Spotify with that feature!

Falling asleep with nice music from Spotify is good!

But wake up from music in the middle of the night is bad. Very bad!

Why is there still no simple sleeping timer function in app?

mtapia245

Why does this still not exist? I’m getting really tired of waking up to the Timba Apple noise haha

This is just as bad as the developers of the latest deployment of a Microsoft product, outlook.com, "forgetting" to include the appointment/date history search in the newest release!!! Valuable & obvious features users might expect to be included in such popular, mainstream products, not to mention those we PAY for, are simply falling to the wayside, failing to be included in updates & new releases due to what? Is it as simple as lack of training & becoming Totally Oblivious to the real wants & needs of their user base? Or a more sinister result of greed like Laziness? Complacency? Ignorance? Jeez. Maybe just the result of getting too big for your britches, like HP, not really giving a darn about anything else but the dollar because, well, they can. They don't have to really worry about what the customer truly desires. (Jumping off my soap box).

This feature is so important and won't take time for implementation... Please try to add it soon. Every free player has it. I have to install another app for this small useful function, so so said...

What app do you download that will let you use your spotify for the alarm?
I haven't found any good alternative yet...

A bit of a pain but, you can use the "Timer" feature your clock on the
iPhone and set it to, stop music, when the timer runs out. I still wish
Spotify would design it into the app though. Start Spotify playing, go to
the Timer function and set how long you want it to play for.

For some time past I use SPLARMIFY for Android https://splarmify.soft112.com/ . I am quite confident. The handling is a little pedestrian, but it works.
