[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

In a hopes to basically annoy Spotify for this feature.  I have done the following;

Submit a request for help ticket explaining that I cannot find the timer feature. 

We went back and forth a little bit. Letting them step on their toes.  But eventually I shared the link to this thread. ( If anyone is interested in the transcript. I can post if requested)

If anyone out there still reads these who actually want the timer.  I would request you do the same.  If we can bug them enough we might just get this most basic of features.

That's a solid intervention!  Since Spotify has come outright and said a sleep timer is not happening any time soon, we need to show them it's important to us. Since time is money, eventually it will be cheaper to just design the darn timer than to address all the individual help tickets.  Thanks for a great idea!

Still waiting.... Have to Use my old iPhone in my Bed and my Android when im Outside. Guys, this is really poor. Seriously. We even have an Rover on Mars and you're not able to give us an simple tool, which you already have on iPhone? Im going back to Deezer.

It is almost to the year 2019. Sleep timer, what a simple basic feature. But Spotify chose to ignore this massive request. I love music but hate Spotify for its incapability. m|n

As a developer trying to Android... I'm thinking about a Time so that slowly reduced volume and finally shut down an app.

Years and Spotify will not implement this, I might as well get money in a place where Spotify has abandoned iti users.

9 years since the beginning of this thread, still no resolution at all from Spotify to actually make a good feature and integrate a god **bleep** alarm clock in their app. What’s the matter Spotify?! It shouldn’t be that big of a deal?! Come on, listen to your fans on IOS, everybody is migrating to Apple Music!
