[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

Seems to me this "feature" has been under review for a long time. What's the deal? One would think for $10mth a user coudl get a sleep timer. Besides the iOS one works for pretty much every other music app I've used. I just happen to really like Spotify.

Defiantly like the idea.. Missing the feature atm with going to sleep, or waking up..

Probably the thing is going to be, the costs..

I see some apps of spotify in the App Store which is remote, or anything else where you ask a refund for.

I think its a better idea to make it free for premium users

Please please pleaseeeee add this, it's been more than a year that sleep timer doesn't work. I keep getting Spotify updates but still without sleep timer options or fixes.

This would be a great feature. I currently use a spotify competitor for this reason alone. I like falling asleep to music and this feature would be great.

wow, I am really surprised there is no sleep timer.  This is a basic necessity.

There is a work-around for the sleep timer bug in iOS for those that are still waiting. I'll try and explain it as best as I can.

1. Play your music in Spotify app.

2. Exit Spotify and open Clock app. Open timer section on bottom right.

3. Set the amount of time you want Spotify to "sleep" in. eg, 60 minutes

4. Select an alarm in the "when timer ends" list.

5. Start timer.

6. Change the "when timer ends" to Stop Playing.

7. Your Spotify will stop playing after the allotted time.
