[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

As an iOS user, I wonder if it is possible for an app to "activate" itself on a user-defined basis (the alarm clock); I know it is possible to send on-screen notifications, but nothing else (AFAIK). I think that we have to hope for a OS version that would allow such a behaviour…

Having said that, I would suggest to create another app instead of integrating into the actual one; a simple app: login, create/edit alarms based on a selected (and cached) playlist and with the possibility to stream to a certain target (AirPlay, etc). Done.
I suggest that because I found the solution poorly at ease within the actual Spotify's menu (and maybe not all user would be really interested in this function).

Until recently, it was fully okay for me to use the iOS built-in sleeptimer with Spotify. But now with my Gramofon player, it is urgently needed to build a native sleeptimer in Spotify as the Gramofon has no own capabilities for additional control.

I suffer with tinnitus and listening to music quietly playing through a pillow speaker helps me get to sleep. But I need to switch the music off after 30 minutes.  Please develop for Android.

The need for a sleep timer function is expressed continuously here in the community. However, it didn't made it (yet).

As I didn't find an explanation why not, here is just another way to get a similar effect without having to monitor the stream. It is an one-shot thing.

Implement a function the generates a playlist of a certain length. When playing a playlist, a radio, an artist or what ever, you say "build me a Sleeplist now" and a new playlist is generated with the next x songs to fulfill the length condition which could be time or number of songs.

You can then simply play that list.

An alternative to implementing a whole alarm clock and sleep timer would be to let other apps use the Pause/Play button of Spotify when it is launched. That should be possible. Apps like 'Sleep' on Android are excellent and should be able to control the Play/Pause button with an addon in the alarm clock app. It would obviously be awesome to have it implemented in the app but having an app which already has all those features let control Spotify would be a great alternative.

Unfortunately, the many platforms in combination with Connect make it hard to rely on apps from the respective platform. For example, using iOS with the iOS device as the streaming device works with the timer function. Using iOS only as "remote control" for another system (e.g. Gramofon) does not work. Mac has no built-in function.....
