[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

SoeeS timer is a necessity. Why play music all night. Can't be good for business.

This would a good thing to have in the actual mobile app. But currently there are 3rd person apps on Apple Store and Google Play. The one I use currently is 'Sleep Timer (Turn music off)' by CARECON GmbH. It works with almost any music player, so its very universal.

I second this suggestion. I would love to have a timer to shut Spotify off after I fall asleep, or have an alarm so that I can use my Spotify to wake up as well.

I can’t believe that this has not been implemented yet. The iPhone timer option works but I frequently use the timer for what it’s supposed to be used for and that requires a sound notification. Using the timer for Spotify causes me to have to change the timer setting back to “sound” each time I need the actual timer function.

I want to ask, why you don't ad an alarm clock (sleep timer and alarm clock) to your app?

It’s only the sleep timer that works. The alarm clock function doesn’t have a “stop playing” option.

Yes please to the sleep timer! I often put on a calming playlist to help me drift off, but I don’t want it to play all e.g. 3hrs worth of songs in the playlist. A sleep timer would allow me to really drift off without having to worry about stopping the music once I’m feeling a bit more relaxed.

I keep getting text messages throughout the day giving me a numeric password to use but I am not trying to log in. How do I stop this?
