[All Platforms] Sleep Timer

I am a new user to Spotify from NZ and the first thing I miss having moved from iphone's built in music player is the sleep timer. I understand this feature stopped working in one of the recent versions of spotify App. If it is a compatibility issue partly related to iOS 5, may I suggest that you build a sleep timer into the App itself? 

Also, as suggest by one other Spotify user, Nyx, it would be even better if you could include an alarm featuer so we can all wake up to our favourite playlists within Spotify.

Thanks again for all the great work you guys are doing and we really hope you would consider this new idea.

Update: The issue with sleep timer seems to be working in iOS 8.

Hi folks. Hands in the air! We've taken far too long to get back to this idea. After much deliberation, we've decided not to implement this idea. At the moment, we're focusing on launching the Browse, Discover, and Collection features across all platforms. We may come back to this in the future.

People, we should do something to get spotify to implement sleep timer. As a developer, you should listen to the users and trying to improve the app. As I can see, people have already waited more than 1 year for a new update with built in sleep timer and you just replying by saying 'may come back to this in the future'. At least pls give us a more detail why you are not implement this on the app as suggested by most of us users e.g. something wrong with the app or implementing sleep timer is too hard...

Maybe we should all switching to another provider at the same time until spotify updating this. not to mention that you can find other providers who offer much cheaper prices

I don't have music on my iPhone because I solely use Spotify... Including an alarm clock for mobile Spotify is something that needs to be done! I can use the excellent features you've built in to wake up in the morning.

I think it would fit perfect with mobile apps. For me it is an essential feature.

EXACTLY!!! When I fall asleep, I too listen to the very limited offerings that I have purchased on Itunes. To have the array that i listen to in spotify would be fantactic! Not to mention an alarm feature as well! PLEEEEEEEEEEZ?

Well, after 16 months of the original post, I think It may be time that Spotify considered this... 

At least, please and pretty please resolve the iOS timer bug so we can set our native timer with the Spotify app.

We, the people, still want a sleep timer.

I think they have considered it because, alas, the status has been updated to "Not Right Now." Sad 😞
