Having a home screen widget for Android would be really nice. All other media players have one on Android so it'd be great to see that in Spotify too. It'd make things so much easier to just be able control to Spotify from your home screen instead of swiping down for the notification bar or opening the app. It's really simple functionality so please can you add it.

You guys think the revenue is falling because of family plan? Family plan is the actual reason why I stayed when you started having shitty strategy like removing this and this from Spotify. Without it I would have left and my family wouldn't have bothered with any other subscription, so you've actually earned 5€/month and me not leaving.

Try to correlate this graph with your controversial moves and the good ones made by your recent (which also correlates) competitors and then maybe we'll take you seriously again.

Unbelievable how you're insulting your customers on a daily basis now, not giving a **bleep** and yet explaining that you're so awesome you need to raise the price tag.

Hi everybody,

I've found a pretty good way to recreate the spotify widget, although it's not free. It cost me €4,- but I already had the premium version of Tasker beforehand.

shows you all you need to know. Just don't forget to also download AutoNotification (read the pinned comment in the video) to get album art on the widget. 

I edited the widget a tiny bit to link tapping the song title to Spotify as well, but besides that it worked straight out the gate. Hope this helps a few of you, since it's not looking like we're getting the widget back anytime soon.

Absolutely miss my spotify widget. I always had it on my homepage, using it in the gym, on the go, non stop. The play button is basically the most used used botton of my phone (after the screen unlock).

Bring it back ASAP!!!! T.T

Honestly though, who's idea was it to remove the Spotify widget off my home screen. The most used and beneficial widget on my phone. Fire them!
