I'd much rather leave it the way it is now than not be able to see the artwork at all. The whole objeective of my suggestion was to make the artwork larger.

darn lefties, always screwing it up for the rest of us. 😉 😉 😉  (so very kidding, i'm married to a lefty)

But back to the matter at hand... I'm stuck on "lefties would have to reach their thumbs all the way across the screen." So this suggests you hold the phone in your left hand, landscape, and operate it with your left thumb?  I'm trying to get my head around the logisticts of that. Don't you already have to reach across the screen to skip forward, at least? And why would you do it that way, no matter what -handed you are?

Tip: Try to make the design fit the blur in the background. You can cut layer with photoshop and get a better picture by both, not just landscape ;).

Yeah, I could have spent the time to do that, but it didn't seem worthwhile. I just wanted to throw a quick sketch out there, assuming folks would look past the rough edges. Plus I was at work when I did it, so the less time spent the better. 🙂

I would love to see this layout change, but would gladly take the inferior one on Spotify for iPhone. Totally jealous of Android now.

Looks like this has gone live! Very cool. I guess I don't mind the two sides being swapped around, that works. And I like being able to swipe the artwork to skip tracks, that's not only really nifty but it answers those who were concerned about one-handed operation. It looks great, Spotify! Thanks for listening to your users and doing such great work.
