[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Spotify, it is SO UNBELIEVABLY POOR that your Android app doesn't allow reordering of the play queue or playlists. This is a basic usability feature of a music app. Please sort this out with the utmost urgency, before I get completely sick of the lame Android music experience and buy an iPhone (which would entail switching from Spotify to Apple Music, by the way).

If Spotify doesn't add this within the next few months, I'm pulling the plug on premium and switching to Google Music. It's absolutely ridiculous that this hasn't been added, especially when iOS has it. They need to listen to their community or it's game over.

 I've just migrated over from Google All Access, and I have to say this is probably a deal breaker for me.  Being able to re-order an album with a few quick swipes changes the way you listen to music.

It's disapointing, because the rest of the spotify service seems really great.

I just switched to Google All Access music. Its for shame, because i really like the UI of Spotify better, but until they add playlist sorting on android and the ability to add local mp3's to my music library FROM MY ANDROID, then I will go back.

Can only agree with the general feeling in comments above. Really don't know why Spotify have not added this very basic feature. They have a few 'frills' that I never use, what about the basics! Dragging and dropping within playlists on Android is one of them.

Oh man this is like saying goodbye to loved one! Got to show some love becuase iv discovered some incredible songs over the years with Spotifys fantastic catalouge and user playlists. Thank you for that. .. But! you can't even add the most basic of features after over 2 years of waiting! I gotta borrow my bros laptop on the weekend just to move freaking songs around!! & I'm getting a bit tired of the apps layout & lack of features like adding group playlists or moving playlists around. And now it's google music + youtube red for £10 pm. I'd be stupid if I didn't. Gonna be a headache moving my playlists over to google somehow 😮

If spotify can't match winamp circa 1999 then I'm moving. Already annoyed at the lack of ui design work but since getting the 3 free months of Play music with Google the client software makes it much easier to manage the now playing queue. Please fix ASAP.

8 years ago I understood why smartphone apps were dumbed down versions of PC apps, but now that mobile Dev is mature and the user balance has shifted from desktop to handheld there is no excuse for shoddy half-featured apps. Every feature available on PC should be available on phone now. Make it so.

In over a year since this topic was opened this hasn't made it into a release?  Figure it out.  This is really a bummer.  Before I edited this post it was angrier and had more cuss words.  Fix it.

Is there any chance an update of the app could contain a Christmas present for us all to rearrange our playlists? Pretty, pretty please Spotify!
