[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

It's 2016 and as far as I can see they still haven't done this! Come on guys!

I had a go at "Add To Up Next" seeing if that meant it would move it on the playlist to after the currently playing track. That would do for starters if it did that. But no, it didn't.

Agreed, also down vote to 1 star on Play Store as I'm doing right now

Here's an instructional video on re-ordering lists.

That's hilarious! 🙂

Hahaha they also can copy & paste code from the queue because it already has that functionality 🙂

Still can't do it on webplayer either. I just tried because I wanted to "swap" a stupid live version that Spotlistr had given me with  the studio version.

Add me to the list of frustrated users. I almost never listen to Spotify on my computer, so having to power up and log in just to move a single song within my playlist is a huge turn off. I'm a developer, so I'm actually thinking of writing my own stinkin' app that is mobile-first.

Strangely I haven't found a good mobile music app yet that allows management of the playlists. Don't know if it's a technical problem or a motivational problem, but it's got to be solvable...

It can be done, by the way. But is an enormous effort.

Insert the song at the bottom. Then for every song from the point down where you want to insert, add to playlist, pick the current one and accept that it's already there. Then remove it from its location.

After you have done that with every song yours will be in its new position.

It is however a nonsense workaround.

Well maybe you just don't consider these to be good apps, but it sounds like you haven't looked very hard! Apple Music, Google Play Music and MediaMonkey all allow proper playlist management from their Android apps.
