[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Very hard when their devs didn't find the code on Stack Overflow and can't
understand the iOS code. Or there is a bet running how long will people
suck it up.

It should be already at point where they implement it only to not look like
complete fools like they do now.

Yes!  This is a huge frustration for me as well.  I teach dance classes and the order of my playlist is very important.  I used an iphone until a couple of years ago and relied on this feature frequently, sometimes listening to a playlist in the car on the way to work and realizing that I needed to swap a song or two in my playlist right before class.  It is very frustrating to be unable to do this.  I also used to frequently create playlists while out and about at my kids' activities, now I can only plop a bunch of songs into the playlist and wait until I get to my PC to actually arrang them.  They need to fix this ASAP!

It's now September 2016. How can I rearrange the playlist manually? I still haven't found out. Is it possible that two years are not enough to implement such a basic feature, or am I missing something?

It is indeed possible, sadly, when all your priorities for your product are wrong.

Having said that, I am perplexed why this idea has so few votes for such a fundamental feature. Compare to, say, the order of magnitude more votes for banal features like song lyrics or just being able to set your own profile picture or playlist thumbnails. Perhaps because the iOS version already has it? But I for one am sick to the back teeth of lazy companies who can't be bothered to at least build their Android apps to the same spec as their iOS ones.

I tried to vote but it won't let me, I may have voted in the past for this. I have used Spotify for a few years now and have been waiting on the feature since. In fact I had left Spotify for "Google Play Music" for a bit but then come back to Spotify. Spotify has one of the best UI around, the only thing that holds it back in my opinion is this simple feature. Come on Spotify get with the programming!!!

I will likely be canceling my subscription service if this service does not get added. I use my playlist for dance and cycling classes and not being able to simply drag and rearrange my playlist is archaic and pathetic given today's technology. I have to completely recreate playlists if I make a change away from my computer which is 100% of the time I use Spotify. Ridiculously disappointing.

Its simply embarrassing that such a basic feature, which already exists in their ios platform, hasn't been implemented by the dev team.

Wow, just came back to android after having an iPhone for a year and a half, went to rearrange some songs on my favorite play list and come to find out that this STILL isn't working?   How in the world does the iPhone app let you do it but Android, the most customizable and open mobile OS, has a Spotify app that won't let you?  Come on Spotify, this is a fundamental feature that you can do on every platform, how is this not implemented by now?  People have been asking about this for years now and still nothing?   I seriously hope you get this fixed because it's insane that it's still not available on Android but everywhere else, tells me that your Android customers don't seem to matter much

Still no update on this... I don't understand why? Surely it's not that difficult.

Seriously?!? Is it not possible to rearrange a playlist year 2016???????????

Embarrasing!
