[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

I think you're right and everyone is thinking wrong that they can edit the playlist. I've tried to change the order of my songs and still it doesn't happen!!!

Unless I'm doing something wrong, this is still not working for me.

You're doing it wrong then. Check for app updates. I can't attach an image but the queue view is now different and shows a select box at the left of each item and the burger item on each track is now a handle that affords drag to re-order tracks. The app update might be limited to certain countries, search XDA for a new version.

And I don't use playlists, just queues which was what I was asking for and this feature has been added. Dunno about playlists but presumably its pretty much the same deal so should appear imminently.

You cant edit playlists, just queues, wgich is nice but not what most on this thread were after. Some community busybody merged my thread about reordering playlists with another about queues. So irritatingly the point got blurred once again. Its only been 4 years of this like.

Hello. Could you please indicate your version and device? I just updated to latest version (Spotify 4.4.0.1008) on Galaxy s5 and tab and rearrange playlist is still unavailable. Please provide more info. Cheers

The subject of this thread is rearranging tracks within a playlist (not queue) and this is STILL not fixed. I checked to make sure I have the latest version.

Yes editing playlists was not added in the latest update. They added queuing but no editing. Spotify.... No sense.

Switching order of tracks in a playlist is definitely stll not available and is a different issue than the tracks in a queue. It seems to me that if the change could be made for tracks in the queue, there is absolutely no reason it couldn't be fixed for tracks in a playlist. CAN WE GET A SPOTIFY ADMIN TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS ISSUE. I feel like i'm talking into an empty void.

Thanks for this idea, we've given it the "Good idea" status. Keep leaving your comments and feedback here and we'll post here if we have news about rearranging tracks inside a playlist on Android.

 

How patronizing is this? Do we really need more comments and "kudos". The problem has been spelled out for at least two years. What kind of f**king game is this Spotify? Let's get serious please.
