[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

Well said, but is possible that there must be other reasons behind that
since we saw that the functionality is already there in the app (look in
the next to play playlist, it can be arranged with no hassle).

However this seems no to be the right place to notify/complain Spotify
about this, please try tweeter @Spotifycares where all this nonsense reach
all the followers 🙂

Another year and this is not implemented yet, what a shame! The Android app already has this functionality built - in, but in the next-to-be played playlist, you can rearrange tracks there.

How many votes do you need to make it happen? 1M?

Please DO think that this is a good idea... and then finally, finally, finally also do something about it. A bit of code. A bit of testing. Release. Done. Ain't like we are asking you to add videos or someting. A tiny feature. Just. Get. It. Done. This has been a problem for yeeeeears. As I said on Facebook to you:

Hello, Spotify! Trump will be president, so pretty awkward stuff can happen. You know what is also pretty awkward? That Android users, unlike iPhone and Windows Phone users, still cannot drag-and-drop arrange their playlists, after years and years of pleading. With a feeble 87.6% share of the smartphone market, you reckon it might be high time to help this tiny minority? Cheers! (Seriously, please give an explanation for why you just can't get this done, in all these years...)

To demonstrate the severity of this issue: I actually, all fed up, started shopping for Deezer and Google Music because of this tiny, but absolutely VITAL feature. But both were otherwise horrible, so I am stuck with you. I hope you appreciate this fate and do something about this!

I am very very disappointed. I have been a premium user for 3 days and have already regretted it. I can not express in words how disappointed I was when I realized that developers simply ignored this basic application. Until I fix this I will never recommend the app to anyone.

I swear I will close my account for that. Other things also bother me, such as the fact that I can only see the number of visualizers of the 5 most performed songs of the artists ... I would like to know the amount of visualities and even be able to filter and order my execution with this criterion. Anyway, I'm leaving. It's bizarre how limited the application ... It gives me agony.

Sorry for my bad english ... I'm Brazilian.

I've been tweeting to @spotify and @spotifycares (an ironically f*#ked up
name).

I'd encourage EVERYONE with a Twitter account to get tweeting. They're
ignoring the forum because it's a relatively small group and nobody really
sees it. They need to be embarrassed in more public forums such as
Twitter. Use multiple and relevant #hashtags and let's make them listen!
This forum thread is obviously not having any impact.

Guys give Apple Music a try, I started my student plan yesterday but I just realized that they have a music library of 40 million songs compared to Spotify's 30 million! I'm so delighted, the Android app has left beta status and I already love it. Hope to find a solution to quickly migrate my playlists.

And you can of course rearrange your tracks, simply hold and drag, it's as simple!

Given that iTunes search API it throttling me so it takes 2 days to run through my search results from Spotify to get the genres of the tracks (which is missing too often in Spotify).

And that I don't know if Apple Music even has a search facility for new releases that will return ALL the results that match the criteria, not just their select few...

for now I am stuck here.
