[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

I just switched from iPhone to Android and I thought I was going crazy here. I actually felt like my mother, painfully trying to unravel new technology. Well at least I know I am not there yet, but Spotify, come on, I really can't order my playlists!?!?  How can this be?  Astonishing.

It's incredible that a so indispensable tool is not yet available !
It's simple to implement, and I think that spotify have enough money to do that !
I will have a look to deezer to see if this it is.

I recently purchased a Chromebook, which includes the google play store.  I downloaded the Spotify app, which I'm finding is the same android app I run on my phone, but a chrome desktop version.  Problems: users cannot rearrange the order of their songs within a playlist (as many here have stated.  But also, users cannot reorder their actual playlists.  I really hope this can up updated sometime soon.  It becomes a long drawn out process to create and delete new playlists just to customize.  Please Spotify - Fix this feature!

Having tried every single possible way to tell Spotify how bad this is all
we can do is vote for this idea and try to reach 1.000 votes, I hope there
is some algorithm out there that says: do ideas with >1000 votes and four
years long 🙂

Sooo, is this gonna be a thing? It's 2017 now.. seems pretty easy to do, right?

A ton of people would love this, considering this was a request in 2014. Don't mean to sound rude or anything.. just sayin.

Sadly, I've given up on Spotify. know when I'm not wanted 😞

I'm fed up of Spotify too, they took something that was great and forced stuff upon us we didn't want whilst removing stuff we liked.

They took away the basics of what Spotify is about too.

Connect nonsense. My android going into "home" every time and ignoring that I was halfway through a playlist and if I happen to be offline, trying ot look up in the cloud what I was playing rather than on the device.

Stupid new desktop GUI that doesn't let you drop local files into a playlist or get text copy-paste and doesn't let you listen to a playlist folder.

Trying to force their own playlists on us when it's an "on demand" service where we choose what we want to listen to. And their recommendations are a load of nonsense because they have never asked me what I want.

There's no excuse for the continued existence of this bug. It's not difficult to fix, so they obviously have some sort of ulterior motive. Only feasible explanation is that they have some kind of shady agreement with Apple.

@OhWheelie I disagree, they are simply terrorized by Apple Music and lost their long term view. You can see it everywhere : poorly coded online web player, uninteresting APIs and of course the **bleep**ty android app full of bugs... there is no need for conspirationism.
