[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

It has always driven me absolutely nuts that I've never been able to do this on my Android devices, especially considering that it has been a basic function in the iOs app since the first time I noticed it on my iPod touch a few years ago. I'm sure that Spotify will implement it sooner or later. After all, it's such a seemingly insignificant feature that it's probably just been overlooked, but when you have a reason to care about the order of tracks in a playlist, but can't do anything to change that order (I know about sorting, but that's not what I need), the omission of this feature is an incredibly frustrating brick wall.

Just came by to say that I am unsubbing, not only because this basic feature hasn't been implemented after such a long time since the community has asked for it, but that this represents how spotify treats it's community in general. I may resub if it is implemented down the track, but if I find a platform between now and then that offers me these standard options, you can kiss my a$$ goodbye.

Very large number of subscribers who have asked for this basic and common feature for years continue to be ignored by Spotify's development team. I'm considering switching to one of Spotify's many competitiors, who offer this important feature, if nothing happens soon. Spotify, if you're serious about your bottom line, don't underestimate your potental loss of business and continue to take our patience for granted.

Just to add my frustration as well regarding this feature.  I will echo what has been said by others.  This is a basic feature that clearly is being asked for by the users for a very long time.  I am in my 99cent 3 month trial and really don't know if I'll subscribe based on not only the lack of this feature but the blatent ignoring that spotify has done regarding this simple feature.  Come on spotify...step up to the plate and get this done now.

I would suggest that inside our own playlists, we dont need to preview the songs - after all we put them there!  

Within the playlist, use the long hold option to "grab" the title and re-arrange by dropping it where we like.  

This feature is  needed ASAP (please) on the phone version of the app!

Premium user here. A basic and necessary feature. If Spotify won't provide, I may have to look into one of the other 50 streaming services available.

It's such a simple and ubiquitous feature in music players to allow the user to sort by artist, album, song name, date added, etc.  Spotify already has this feature in its desktop player.  Surely they can figure it out for their mobile player.  I cringe every time I go to look for a song in my playlists and remember that I can't sort them.  I just put it on Shuffle and think about how frustrating the app is.

I thought I must have overlooked something obvious in settings somewhere, was feeling rather dense, an unusual and awfully uncomfortable state, chalked it up to lack of sleep and came to find an incredibly obvious solution........... but there isn't one....... the only good news is having a bday didn't make me senile Hope that petition is still there
