[Android] Rearrange Tracks inside a Playlist

On my iPod I can manually move my songs around that are in my playlist, but I can't do the same on my phone which is what I mostly use. It would be easier to have that option on all devices.

Hey!

The Spotify Community team here.

We're pleased to confirm that this feature should now be available to all Android users.
We'd recommend double-checking that you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Once again, thanks for showing your support here in the Community.

How the **bleep** have you still not added this? This should be the number one thing on your queue, and the fact that it still hasn't been added after several years is incredibly insulting.

To spotify tech department,

Apparently people have been asking for a way to rearrange a playlist for years ,  it's not like we're asking for brain surgery. it a simple as putting an edit option tab and then selecting a song and dragging it up or down!

Just do it

I don't know why I put up with this BS. Spotify implement all kinds of fancy predictive features that users AREN'T asking for while ignoring basic functionality.

You know who else did this? Microsoft.

Congratulations. You've built clippy.

There are thousands of Spotify customers requesting the ability to reorder
tracks within playlists on Android (as available on iPhone). Your 100
limit has been surpassed many times over. I have an Android phone and
Chromebook thus no ability to reorder tracks within playlists.

You need to make yourselves more customer friendly and accessible. The
user forum seems to be a diversion designed to limit communication with
Spotify. P_lease advise when the function will be available. Thank you.

We all know that, but this is not the place to ask for it, please email or twitter this. Its been proven that here all we can get is a "Good idea" badge 🙂

Be prepared to receive "we'll pass this request to the DEV team" I see now that DEV doesn't stand for developers, it really means Discard Extra Value 🙂

I wish they would at least give us a reason why it's taking so long or tell us when to expect it to happen 😕

Well, you guys did it!

I just downloaded the latest beta and much to my surprise edit play lists is now an option for Android devices! That is for personal play lists of course, not the Spotify curated lists which is to be expected.

Works great!

Thank you team Spotify!

Now Spotify is perfect in my opinion. Edit Play Lists, user setting to not play explicit songs, voice search, and of course Spotify Connect, I'm good for a very long time.

@Joemommaspotify

I downloaded it and I don't see it anywhere. Is this a prank?

It seems so... nothing has changed. I love the response given to by support spotify.com: Hey Joe, Thanks for writing back to us. It would be great to organize your songs right? No worries, it's possible to re-arrange the songs on your playlists! But, here's the catch: you can only do this on the desktop app and on iPhones.

Joe, nothing has changed, I've unistalled and tried the last two beta's to be sure. You say you can change the order of the songs inside a playlist? Well, you made the claim so you must prove it, one screenshot is all that it takes 🙂
