Clear play queue

I have to restart my spotify when I accendently start a song from a search instead of adding it to the queue (happens often to me), would be lovely if there would be a clear button for all the songs added to the queue by spotify it self.

We're happy to announce that we have implemented the Clear queue feature on our mobile app as well.

Just open the queue and you should see the Clear all button at the top

Hey folks, you can now find a 'CLEAR' button on the Play Queue in your Spotify Desktop app.

If using Spotify on your mobile device you can check the songs in 'Up Next' and then select 'REMOVE'.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

Thanks! It's sad that we have to figure out how to hack Spotify for basic
features right?

If you guys need someone to prioritize that is used to scatter brained CEO's I know a guy. He's great at instilling the fear of making poor decisions into the minds of people who like to micro manage everything.

--wait I just realized that is why these types can't make decisions. Crap. - ok scratch fear of failure and add, give them cookies for making a decision.

My Queue never clears, everything just piles up. When I add something on a different device it has it own queue, but when I get on my computer it has the device queued songs and the songs I queued from the last time I logged in. I use the webplayer vs the app.

I find that the radio feature tends to repeat the same track, so when I see a repeated track in the play queue I would like the option to remove it leaving everything else intact. Is that possible?

Does Spotify realize it has to cut royalties out for all the **bleep**e that it puts in our Queue? It is losing money hand over fist... what a bunch of jack tards... I believe in paying for the music I like, but shelling out money to crap music is just that... crap.

If they could simply design a 'clear queue' feature, a simple AJAX script that would reset the connection's linkages on the spotify server, their metrics would be way more accurate, their playcounts more accurate, their top listens would be trackable, and the artists that deserve more in royalties would get what they deserved... fix this kind of stuff, and you just might keep customers.. you will definitely keep artists like Taylor Swift that pulled your licensing rights away ... and maybe the RIAA wouldn't feck with you as often.. (Just saying!)

Hi folks,

I just added a whole bunch of items to my queue that I didn't want. There was no right click option, and remove from my music didn't work (whatever my music is...).

But on the latest Spotify I found (on Windows) that hitting the <ctrl><del> keys worked and removed the selected items from the queue.

Hope that helps.

Strangely today I see there is a "remove from queue" option.  However it doesn't initially remove the items from the queue.  If you then click "next" button, the items disappear from the queue!

Same with adding tracks to the queue. If you add tracks to the queue from playlists or from  "Next tracks" panel below the queue (something that makes no sense) they won't appear in the queue until you hit the "next" button if you are already playing the queue.  It must be a "repaint" trigger within Spotify's code that isn't fired. (yes, I am geeky)

Madness.

Happy 3 Year Anniversary to this shameful lack of functionality!

Good to see this seemingly simple one button "Clear Play Queue" couldn't  be implimented in 3 years.. But I guess the programmers are off working on Winamp 6 since thats been a few years coming too.. I find it crazy that when I hadd stuff to my mobile queue it plays and clears on that but when I go to my desktop client weeks later its colllected weeks of queued songs that I cant F*#king clear.

Maybe I'll just cancel my Premium subscription, the android app already chews alot of resources, more than any other music player on my device.

Not happy 😞
