Clear play queue

I have to restart my spotify when I accendently start a song from a search instead of adding it to the queue (happens often to me), would be lovely if there would be a clear button for all the songs added to the queue by spotify it self.

We're happy to announce that we have implemented the Clear queue feature on our mobile app as well.

 

Just open the queue and you should see the Clear all button at the top

Hey folks, you can now find a 'CLEAR' button on the Play Queue in your Spotify Desktop app. 

If using Spotify on your mobile device you can check the songs in 'Up Next' and then select 'REMOVE'.

My problem is not that it doesn't clear when you play something else, it does. The problem is that often elements in queue are resurected. and half the times it gets back to the first album that I listened, Metallica Garage inc., track "Am I Evil?". Indeed!

I know this has been posted before. It's been years.

 

Why are you constantly ignoing this request? It's probably the simplest of the feature requests your users are asking you about.

 

Right click > Clear queue

Where can I get the original Spotify win install, early versions.

Without all this **bleep** it has implemented today?

There should be one professional version without social media addons & raw data / music. (Winamp style)

Why is it so difficult for the developers to add a **bleep**ing "Clear" button for the play queue, after so many years ?

Wow...this string started off with a post about not being able to clear the queue.  A Spotify tech responded that they were working on various features and that they'd take care of this one soon.  That post was in 2012.  WTF!? Please, please please, add a "clear queue" option!

Also, if I delete a song from my playlist, It remains in the queue. So I must spend an extra 'skip' for a song I've already deleted.

Well this sucks. And it's amazing to find this post, over 3 years old, and the problem persists.

 

Right now I have Perturbator on my queue, and I want to play Gorillaz. So I search Gorillaz, click play, and Perturbator resumes.

 

Click one of the Gorillaz albums from the search results and that plays. When the song ends it continues to the first Gorillaz result I tried to play.

 

This is fun. Maybe it's actually a feature. Like a surprise playlist. It's what you choose, but you never know what you get!
