Clear play queue

I have to restart my spotify when I accendently start a song from a search instead of adding it to the queue (happens often to me), would be lovely if there would be a clear button for all the songs added to the queue by spotify it self.

We're happy to announce that we have implemented the Clear queue feature on our mobile app as well.

Just open the queue and you should see the Clear all button at the top

Hey folks, you can now find a 'CLEAR' button on the Play Queue in your Spotify Desktop app.

If using Spotify on your mobile device you can check the songs in 'Up Next' and then select 'REMOVE'.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

my queue is titled "Play Queue", not "Queued Songs", and no
"Clear". Thanks.

Great idea but it does not work

Can someone please  explain how "next in queue" works differently than "next up"? How do I put my selection as "next to play"?  or the end of the queue?

Can someone please help with solution or wake up a Spotify tech because adding to play queue on the fly is mysterious to me? It seems a simple thing, on my end, that ought to be obvious.  --Now! a "clear" button ahs just appeared above the "next in queue" button. There are 2 tracks remaining in "next in queue'".  the track "now playing" is lit in green and has a small speaker icon to the left. Has about 10 minutes left to play, so I have time to watch what happens IN THIS CASE. But I do not know how I configured this setup. Did I click "add to queue"  for an album (the "Next up" selections)?

I am afraid to click either "clear" or go to browse and "add to queue" because I may be set back a step or two.

Ok I did go back a screen, and "add to queue" another album. returning to see the queue, I see it has been added to the queue,  Ahead of "next up". Those tracks  remain in that group. I am guessing that when the queue s empty, they will move up to "queue".

If that does indeed prove to be the case, I am closer to undersatnding.

But I am posting this detailed experiment, in cased this assists someone in assisting me to moving forward without so much guessing. Perhaps an algorithm?  Thanks muchissimo.

Apologies for demeaning the work that has been done, and for all this posting; I am like a bloodhound with about close to the ground. But I persist.

Indeed the "next in queue" jumped into green light and is playing . the queue is in place still. Then the block of "Next up" tracks remain below the "Next in queue" block.

So I am getting somewhere. ButI am proposing this as an hypothesis. If I can repeat the procedure with similar results, I call it tested and true, not refuted.  : )    In that case I won't be back.  : (       for a while.

Can somebody explain to me why the remove track from queue feature does not work? I have the Spotify App on Windows 10 and on IOS but in none of the Apps the track gets removed when i click or tap on Remove from queue.

Because Spotify are greedy **bleep** and don't deserve your money
PascalSL

Well Lewis144, that might be true but it turns out it's because of Spotify Connect. Currently mailing with Support about this. Both Windows 10 and IOS Spotify app i can delete stuff from the queue, but NOT when i play it with Spotify Connect. To be continued...
