Clear play queue

I have to restart my spotify when I accendently start a song from a search instead of adding it to the queue (happens often to me), would be lovely if there would be a clear button for all the songs added to the queue by spotify it self.

We're happy to announce that we have implemented the Clear queue feature on our mobile app as well.

 

Just open the queue and you should see the Clear all button at the top

Hey folks, you can now find a 'CLEAR' button on the Play Queue in your Spotify Desktop app. 

If using Spotify on your mobile device you can check the songs in 'Up Next' and then select 'REMOVE'.

Whatever you call it, this is the whole point; why is there no option to
clear what's in that list?

NO - just reinstalled on a PC - clean install and no clear button.... FAKE NEWS..... Please fix this properly

Wow, since 2012 this as has been requested, last year someone at Spotify posted a screenshot of it implemented and moved it to implemented.  Since then it's been nothing but one comment after another stating that it's not implemented.

Not sure but it seems like the DevOps at Spotify **bleep** up their GitHub or something.

Regardless, this is still missing and needs implemented.

Is this still not implemented in the Spotify app? Seems shocking for such a basic functionality. Especially since it was requested in 2012, here we are in 2019  randostill withm unwanted songs coming on after podcasts or albums... Get on this Spotify.

I don't have a CLEAR oval button on my queue page so here's what I do, although it may not work for everybody. Click on the next song in the queue, then select all songs in the queue by holding down your SHIFT key and then selecting the last song in the queue. Right click and select Remove from Playlist.

Spotify, come on man.....the discussions on how to clear the play queue is exhaustive and confusing. Just give me a simple one click button to CLEAR THE ENTIRE PLAY QUEUE.  This has been an issue way to long. I have Sonos at home and choose to use their app instead of Spotify only because they have a one button clear all. I would perfer to use the Spotify app, but the clear queue issue is a deal breaker for me.  No more workarounds, lets get a real solution!

Select all the tracks and touch remove is not an acceptable solution, what is the dificult of implement a clear button like the one in desktop application?

wth is wrong with this company? Why make it so tedious to "clear queue" on iOS? Spotify is a master of the universe in its narrow field but functions like a basement startup with two employees. BASIC features like "clear queue" are never developed and take years to be implemented. 

 

Someone smarter than me PLEASE develop a Spotify killer that will also work with Sonos.
