Clear play queue

I have to restart my spotify when I accendently start a song from a search instead of adding it to the queue (happens often to me), would be lovely if there would be a clear button for all the songs added to the queue by spotify it self.

We're happy to announce that we have implemented the Clear queue feature on our mobile app as well.

 

Just open the queue and you should see the Clear all button at the top

Hey folks, you can now find a 'CLEAR' button on the Play Queue in your Spotify Desktop app. 

If using Spotify on your mobile device you can check the songs in 'Up Next' and then select 'REMOVE'.

I just started my free trial of Spotify today. I'm stunned there is no way to clear the queue. It's simply asinine. I'm coming from MOG because it's about to go away. Surely Spotify can't be this screwed up. One more dumg "feature" like this and my free 30 day trial will be over in less than a week.

OMGGGGG!!!! What is wrong with you Spotify ?????? Can't clear a queue ????? The most basic of functions, I just wish I had realised this PRIOR to signing up to your 'priority' service.

 

Shame on you.

@Richard: Thanks! This has been a pain for years of using Spotify and I decided to look it up. Not a solution but a decent workaround

Still waiting for this feature to happen. REVAMP QUEUE SYSTEM PLEASE. Never plays what I intend!

I didn't read 14 pages of replies to see if someone else suggested it already,  but I have a work-around till it gets fixed:

Make a new empty playlist and play it, clears the queue 🙂

For Android users.. You can go into the app system info by holding on the app icon.. App info.. Then clear the cache.. This is the only workaround i was able to find.

Okay, first of all, THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I can not clear this Play Queue and I didn't use the search feature at all. I clicked on one of the music categories "Chill Music" or something, and then I think I started following the category and NOW, I can't get the dang things out of my play queue, even when I switch to my playlist, the very next song in the queue is in that other play list. THIS IS INFURIATING. I don't pay $10 a month for this app to be this frustrated...FIX IT....It can't be that difficult.

 

I just want to hear the songs from my playlist without having to delete every song from the play queue. Why is this a problem.

 

Oh, and I even shut my browser down, logged back in to the web app, and still had the same issue - so that didn't work either. I ended up adding my playlist to the play queue - WHICH IS EVEN MORE RIDICULOUS, and you can't even shuffle in the queue....

For crying out loud Spotify just add: right click > clear queue to the available functions.

It's now more than 2 years since the original post.  Surely your developers have had 15 minutes spare at some point over the last 2 years to sort this out?

Well, I've just cancelled my subscription. As soon as your player is not **bleep**ing **bleep** to use anymore, and I can clear a queue, I'll think about renewing it.
