Clear play queue

I have to restart my spotify when I accendently start a song from a search instead of adding it to the queue (happens often to me), would be lovely if there would be a clear button for all the songs added to the queue by spotify it self.

We're happy to announce that we have implemented the Clear queue feature on our mobile app as well.

Just open the queue and you should see the Clear all button at the top

Hey folks, you can now find a 'CLEAR' button on the Play Queue in your Spotify Desktop app.

If using Spotify on your mobile device you can check the songs in 'Up Next' and then select 'REMOVE'.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

How hard can this be? I'm trialling and will not pay until this trivial feature is implemented?

Seriously, what is the deal? Is there some revenue issue where you get money if a song is in the queue but not played?

There is no logical explanation for not deploying this 3 line of code feature.

It would seem like such a basic feature to add, the same way I can right click on a song and add it to a playlist or queue.  I would think right click on the queue would give you the option to clear or shuffle it.....

Ditto.  Please add a "clear queue" button when you are in the Play Queue.  Seems like such a basic feature to have.

I managed to clear mine by just dbl clicking twice on each of the songs that I wanted to remove.  If the text was in white, there was no delete option when right clicking, but dbl-dbl clicking, and moving to the next song made them drop off the list.  I hope this helps!

Update*** Nevermind.  When you black back on the play queue - the songs are still there.  ARGHHHHH!!!!!!  STOP THE MADNESS!

There still is a way to do it with the empty playlist but im afraid to write it here since spotify seems to be on a crusade against this feature

I'm voting with my wallet and cancelling my Spotify Premium sub until this is fixed.

How to clear current playlist:

  1. Go to Play Queue
  2. Hit keys CTRL+A
  3. You have selected whole queue - then hit Delete

None of this works, using Android client. Dear Santa Claus, I wish I could clear my Spotify queue.

I see you "not right now" status.  You ask us to wait until you "have the perfect product".  Let us face it. You will never have

a "perfect product". I will be dead before that happens.

And I guess 500+ Kudos does not mean a thing! So why have it?

I add my vote for this option.  How about creating an empty play list will selecting that list cause the desired effect?

I created a playlist call "CLEAR QUEUE". It only has one song. It works as long as the current queue contents is not the same

as the one associated with the clear queue play list.

When I get it to switch the queue ends up with 100 instances of the same song. That is because I had the repeat play active.

Turning it off  stopped that display.

So now all  I need is a very short song that is not apart of any of the other classes.   This should not be TOO difficult

for Spotify to create!!!! Can you at  least try?

Create a new "class" called "clear". Add one song to it containing less than 1 second of not sound. Then everyone can create their own

clear queue playlist.

Maybe a song with that short of a time will cause problems. So choose some other reasonable time. Or better yet mark the

playlist as not "continuous" repeat.

Just a few work around ideas.  Of course these are probably too difficult to implement. You are  still working on that PERFECT APPLICATION!!!
