Close Button Closes Spotify [Windows]

Or at least minimize it to a tray Icon. But I would say close it. Maybe this is more of an opinion, but I've only used 2 programs that are this bad. Skype and Spotify. And Skype is a really bad program.  So I don't know why in Spotify, the Close and Minimize button do the same exact thing. I would like a quick way to close the program and stop the musik.  This is mainly a problem for me on Windows 7 and I believe linux is very similar.

Dear Spotify,

when are you going to change the behaviour of Close button to that of a Close button?

In their current forms, your program design is now against my design philosophy, and your customer attitude is against my customer satisfaction philosophy.

My design philosophy is: use buttons and other elements of UI as intended: ok is ok, cancel is cancel, minimize is minimize, close is close, press a button where the button is – not 3 cm to the right.

My customer satisfaction philosophy is: treat the guys who pay your salary with respect, don't be arrogant, don't lie, don't be evil.

The minute I find a service with enough music and mobile streaming that complies with my design and customer satisfaction philosophies, I will give take my 120 € a year I am paying you and give it to them.

And let's be honest, after the breakup, not either one of us will look back since we separate for good reasons:

'irreconcilable differences in design philosophy', 'abandonment', 'desertion'. Don't be sad, your customers have no right to try to change you. You deserve customers who share your thoughts. You should have better customers, not more customers. Monthly payments you can respect, not more money. Less workers but more proud. Spotify will be smaller, but regain its self esteem!

OMG, seriously?! I'm so happy!!! Yay, Spotify has finally taken this SIMPLE, EFFORTLESS fix under consideration!!!!! It only took a little over 18 full months to get them to do so, so I'm sure it will be implemented very shortly!!!!

Let me tell you, you will never get a single penny from me until you fix this feature. I don't care how inconvenienced I get, I would never give money to a company that blatantly disregards its customers' preferences in lieu of acting more like Skype. FYI, you NEVER want to be compared to Skype, and it's all I've seen in 13 pages of this thread.

Please let the "X" do what it was designed to do.  If you insist on giving me two minimize buttons then also give me the option to let the "X" truly close the program.

Apart from radio not working on Sonos, this is the second most irritating thing about Spotify. 

If it was done deliberately, its deceiving to ensure you can leave it open. If it was an accident, FIX IT!!

Thanks for a superb software.

You ignore the normal Windows behavior. When I choose to terminate the application by selecting the red button in the upper right corner, the application is not terminated (as standard).

Of course, it is not by chance. Perhaps both technical and political advantage for spotify?!

I just want to convey to you that this is extremely irritant.

Please, change immediately to Windows standard, or at least, arrange so that we can change the default behavior from the applications file menus.

BTW Spotify is one in growing army of apps breaking deafult Windows look and feel. Why do dev team hates windows? Why are they are trying to copy OSX (is it OSX?) instead of making Spotify look like any other Windows app?

man, I switched to this service and was so happy with what I have seen with other services.  Can't close with X, can't close with right click.  Finally found quite but people simply must run from this kind of tactic to keep hogging resources.  I will continue to follow this and use it but it will run me off if this is something that is just going to be ignored.  Skype ran me off already.  Spotify has a good thing going but computer users have options and this is a deal breaker.

Please fix this, it's been a thorn in my side from the get go. It is one of the reasons I quite my premium back in the day. Now I'm back on premium, but because I actually need it not just to support.
