Close Button Closes Spotify [Windows]

Or at least minimize it to a tray Icon. But I would say close it. Maybe this is more of an opinion, but I've only used 2 programs that are this bad. Skype and Spotify. And Skype is a really bad program.  So I don't know why in Spotify, the Close and Minimize button do the same exact thing. I would like a quick way to close the program and stop the musik.  This is mainly a problem for me on Windows 7 and I believe linux is very similar.

Please fix this! At the very, very least add an option in "Preferences" so that clicking the X button actually closes and shuts down the application.

Spotify not closing on pressing the X also bothers me to no end. And why then add a 'minimize' button when it has exactly the same behaviour.

Please fix this.  It drives me absolutely crazy.  This is the dumbest functionality I've seen in any program - similar to the stupidity of skype not having a minimize to tray and funky close option.

I agree with all other users here - would it be SO HARD to at least add this option in settings?

Apparently the X which usually closes the program completely--doesn't do that in Spotity.  GREAT--THANKS FOR NOTHING!  But in Windows 8, when you click on the Spotify Icon on the taskbar, under TASKS, there is a place for QUIT SPOTIFY--click on that--and it shuts Spotify off...  Simple as all that and annoying as all that.  It takes Spotify off the taskbar and shut Spotify down while keeping it up on the desktop,

At least add the option so users can choose it to operate either way. Very lame without... like spyware. Not to mention pretty arrogant of the programmers to think users wouldn't want to use the function as designed in 99.0% of all Win programs.

So this has been "under construction" for the last 2.5 years? Being a SW developer myself I don't understand the problem of fixing this bug?? Feel free to explain 😛

How hard can be to do it right people?!!!

Spotify is good but not enough, or you fix it or I WILL UNINSTALL (which should be fairly easy if you didn't implement any other malware tactic).

Come on guys, you can do better.
