Discount Family Subscriptions!

Before I made the switch from Rdio to Spotify they (Rdio) came up with a pricing model that allowed families to purchase a slightly discounted subscription.  

$9.99 for single unlimited user

$17.99 for 2 family members (20% discount)

$22.99 for 3 family members (50% discount)

Would love to see a similar pricing model so the rest of the family could get in on the action!

I also would like to have the family or couple option and it would be okay for me to pay a little extra price for this option. But realy no more than 50% on top! But please - spotify - do this. Shortly! Thanks. Andreas.

I have to agree, the lack of a family plan is a huge gap in your offering, especially given most kids phones/devices are under parents accounts. You all are missing easy money, I think offering the best family plan is a major market opportunity. Parents and families are looking for simplicity and cost savings. Add in an extra year term to lock in the revenue...

Currently my household has five Spotify accounts equalling a total of 495 SEK per month. This pricing is simply outrageous and if it continues I sincerely hope that some other less greedy service takes over Spotify's main position..

Compare this to Netflix where you can now have up to 5 profiles under one account and view stuff simultaneously from different devices  and this costs 79 SEK per month. Using the same login but just choose your own profile, that is a very good solution.

I'm waiting for more than a year for a family plan to come... C'mon Spotify, listen to all the people calling for it !!

I do love the idea of a family plan, or a plan that allows use of more than one streaming device or pc at a time.  However, I do think that each family account should have a "profile" and certainly parental controls, if not parental controls than that plan listed for a specific age.  I have playlists that I'd rather my daughter not listen too.  I also would like to point out that a premium account does kind of allow for this.  I have a children's playlist saved to a device for offline use and I can put that on for my child and listen to a different one either streaming or offline.

Come on spotify, you have 25 pages of comments asking for a family plan.  Why is this not yet an option.  Family plan = increased revenue for you and happy customers...it's a no brainer!

A family plan is a MUST HAVE feature. And I don't mean just multple discounted accounts that function the same way that personal accunts do today. I can't go and change my Sonos system to use a different Spotify accont depending on who happens to be listening at the moment. Or my Roku for that matter. The plan itself must allow for multiple simultaneous users.

Is there any progress in this idea? The idea was published 15-02-2012, this is almost 2 years ago. So there must be som kind of progress??

I am a Zumba Instructor and would like to pay, yes I said PAY for one of my instructors to have our music at her house.  Along with the family plan, how about a business partner's deal?
