Discount Family Subscriptions!

Before I made the switch from Rdio to Spotify they (Rdio) came up with a pricing model that allowed families to purchase a slightly discounted subscription.  

$9.99 for single unlimited user

$17.99 for 2 family members (20% discount)

$22.99 for 3 family members (50% discount)

Would love to see a similar pricing model so the rest of the family could get in on the action!

Is it really going to take 2 years to come up with a solution to this? I'd switch from 2 premium to a 4 member family plan right away. 

Netflix style convenience FTW.

I would definitely pay a bit more for a family sub so my wife could use Spotify on her iPad too. I LOVE Spotify!!!

Come on Spotify!!! Think the Family account should be a priority now. I've been using you now for years to stream my music and am getting fed up of being cut off from using it on my mobile due to limited access via your Premium service. Don't lose customers for such a simple fix but also dont get greedy when it comes to pricing. I'M WAITING!!!

Enough already!! It's been years now that a large number of your members have been requesting this. What's the hold-up?! At least give us a clue....set our expectations. I'm seriously ready to leave the service just because there's no family plan.

With Netflix we pay $7.99 monthly and get unlimited streaming for 2 devices at a time. Spotify should do the same.

But that was 18 months ago??? Still not an option???

When is this happening as I am now starting to look around for an alternative.
 

DW and DD are now both into Spotify and we are playing tug of war. £30 a month is just not going to happen.

I just visited for the first time to see if this has been suggested,. All 4 members of my family use my account which means I get recommendations like Spice Girls, and I'd rather not 🙂 

However, there's no way I'd pay extra. It's a simple case of adding sub-accounts. Netflix does it as standard for £7 a month. For now I'll continue to use playlist folders for each member of the family and tolerate (a) not havng multiple live streams and (b) all my Facebook friends thinking I like Girls Aloud.
