Discount Family Subscriptions!

Before I made the switch from Rdio to Spotify they (Rdio) came up with a pricing model that allowed families to purchase a slightly discounted subscription.

$9.99 for single unlimited user

$17.99 for 2 family members (20% discount)

$22.99 for 3 family members (50% discount)

Would love to see a similar pricing model so the rest of the family could get in on the action!

Hey folks! We've introduced Spotify Family. With Premium for Family, you and up to 5 members of the same household can each enjoy their own Premium account. All for one discounted price of $14.99.

Thanks for your kudos in the Community--we want your feedback.

May be it's possible to registrate 4 devices with MAC-Adress to one Familiy-account and allow 4 devices to work with one account (for $9,99 of corse!)

Thanks!

I'd be willing to pay $15 or so for a family plan.  Make it so Spotify!

This would be great, currently I share my premium account with my two kids... They both synch their playlists to their iPhones and I listen online while I'm working so it kinda works for us. But I would be more than willing to pay for a family subscription if it stopped the little monkeys messing about with my playlists

Please introduce this.

Your customers are volunteering to pay you MORE money, for essentially a serivce that doesn't allow them to keep their product.  Both yourselves at Spotify and the music industry as a whole would be insane to refuse this.

Essentially, I am limited at home by the types of devices to using a single spotify account - they don't support offline storage - and as such one of us is always having to compromise.

I wouldn't usually volunteer to pay you more money  - I think you are over priced for my usage - but in this instance, you solve a problem and I'll happily pay you more.  One Log in - more than one device.

Please.

Yes please. A family plan is a must-have in today's competitive entertainment environment and technically not that difficult to do. C'mon guys, you know it makes sense!

Getting this wrong is a dealbreaker for me as well. When I buy from iTunes, I can burn discs and my wife can listen when she wants. We hardly buy $10 worth of music a month as it is. I'm certainly not paying double. The 20% discount is hardly convincing either. If you want my family to be Spotify users for years to come, bring it down to 50%. Find a solution. If my wife insists on buying music anyway, we're done with Spotify. You can have $15, or $0.

In this era when we have on demand streaming services, this is a must have feature. as stated many times in the replies in this forum, family or multiple consecutive player support is an absolute added value especially when people are willing to pay. the sugested princing numbers are way to high. You already get the leverage. Take the Netflix example, €8 a month for one member and €12 for up to four devices, whether family or not. Easy model which 90% of people see as a no brainer.

this is easy money spotify! You have an excellent product and this is an easy way to get ahead of the game.

AT&T Wireless customers can now get Beats Music for the whole family for $14.99 a month. Time to revisit this?

Now it's been over a year since we were promised family accounts. I love spotify but having 3-4 accounts in the family is too expensive compared to some of your competitors, please do something !
