Discount Family Subscriptions!

Before I made the switch from Rdio to Spotify they (Rdio) came up with a pricing model that allowed families to purchase a slightly discounted subscription.  

$9.99 for single unlimited user

$17.99 for 2 family members (20% discount)

$22.99 for 3 family members (50% discount)

Would love to see a similar pricing model so the rest of the family could get in on the action!

Dear Spotify, I've had enough of seeing "someone else is using your account".

You don't have to buy a CD or MP3 more than once to use it on multiple devices.

Change the family plan to 5 dollars per member (15 for 2, 20 for 3 etc) and we got a deal!

Can you please inform when you will be answering this request?

In the Netherlands, there now is a hi-fi service Qobuz available that offer 17M songs and an use on three devices simultanously for € 19,99. I am seriously thinking about switching because of this, despite my high regards for you.

Please let us know something about this topic.

Glad to see the increased activity on this post from a couple years back! Hopefully it will become a reality soon with the news dropping that Beats Music is following Rdio's lead on the family subscription model!

While I dearly love Spotify, with two teenage kids and a wife who all want their streaming music, I'm having a hard time justifying $40/month for four separate accounts, and may soon be forced to move to some other service that has family accounts.

Please take pity on us Family Folk, and come up with an affordable plan.

I'm also in favor of a "Beats" like family plan.  Just don't limit it to one carrier!  $15.00 for the whole family is hard to compete with, I agree...but with the marketing prowess of Beats, competitors best not pretend it's not happening.  My family of four would benefit from $15 family subscription, and if I were on AT&T, I'd likely switch simply because I used to be a MOG user and loved it.  Don't get me wrong, I'm starting to really enjoy Spotify (though i wish we could download albums and not simply playlists -- understanding i can just make the album into a playlist) ... I'd just really love to see a compettive family plan offering.

Spotify is going to lose subscribers if they can't have multiple users under one account, that can listen at the same time.  There are too many other applications out there that allow for multiple subscriptions under one user.  I LOVE spotify and I want to keep it but this may be a deal breaker!!
