Discount Family Subscriptions!

Before I made the switch from Rdio to Spotify they (Rdio) came up with a pricing model that allowed families to purchase a slightly discounted subscription.  

$9.99 for single unlimited user

$17.99 for 2 family members (20% discount)

$22.99 for 3 family members (50% discount)

Would love to see a similar pricing model so the rest of the family could get in on the action!

probably going to give spotify about a month to provide details on whether they are seriously considering a family plan. If not, then onto beats music. Five streams for $15/month.

Want to add to the voices expressing a need for a family plan. Agree whole heartedly with all of the comments here already. Beats has proven that this is possible. Like most of your current customers, I LOVE Spotify. Have been a raving Premium fan for a while now. Do not want to switch to Beats and have to spend a bunch of time recreating all of my playlists. But would rather do that than constantly be disconnected when one of my kids or husband wants to play music.

PLEASE implement this soon.

Adding my support, though it doesn't seem like Spotify feels the fire from the Beats $15 plan for 5 people.

Yep I support this too. Love Spotify but I'm probably going to Rdio so my wife can be on my plan instead of paying for two accounts.

This is my problem with near multiplying the amount spent ... Yes we're essentially purchasing a right to listen to licensed material released by record companies, but that's it I only have the right to listen to be honest the subscription is more of a convenience fee every song on Spotify is available to be listened to on a multitude of platforms. I only see that extra convenience of another line being an extra 5 bucks if that especially since there are other companies offering nearly identical services. I love my Spotify but it seems as though they're on a slight high horse in this issue. They should give the people what they want.

I am new here, and still within the first 30days free of premium, and would love for a family subscription plan to be made available. Why is it that this thread still does not have a response on if this will be made available at some point. This thread is two years old and still "under consideration". I like spotify, but i do not like it enough to pay $20 just so me and my wife can both listen at the same time.

Okay, it has been 2 years now. Where are we on this? With the new Beats Music family plans, Spotify HAS to jum on the bandwagon. I have four famly members. I won't pay $40 a month, but I would do it for $20-$25. Beats is $14.99 for 5 family members.

2 years is clearly a corporate effort to stall.  I will now go over to beats and investigate that.  As a matter of fact, on principal, I will go now.
