Discount Family Subscriptions!

Before I made the switch from Rdio to Spotify they (Rdio) came up with a pricing model that allowed families to purchase a slightly discounted subscription.  

$9.99 for single unlimited user

$17.99 for 2 family members (20% discount)

$22.99 for 3 family members (50% discount)

Would love to see a similar pricing model so the rest of the family could get in on the action!

Spotify don't offer any sort of family accounts or family discount's I'm afraid. It is a long discussed and requested feature though:

I have Spotify on my phone and on my work computer and is using it regularly (probably more then I should). I also have Sonos at home and here is my dilemma. Wife at home, me at work both listening to my Spotify account...

My wife thought have her own Spotify account but since the activation process for Spotify on Sonos has become more troublesome, switching accounts is not really an option anymore.

Now I get that the subscription is personal but I'm not looking for a family package (even though that would solve the problem). I'm looking for a solution where I can play Spotify at work and she can play it at home, I see several options:

- Include playing on computer/phone and a Sonos device simultaneously in premium package (Yeeey!) or for a small fee (Yey..)

- Enable activating several Spotify accounts on one Sonos set-up and being able to switch between them (Yeeey!)

- Family package (Yey, but do we have to share lists? then boooh)

Either way, help me Spotify, you're my only hope!

Worried about how long this will take... Beats Music offers a family plan for $15 per month for up to 5 listeners. Personally, I don't like their interface and have invested time in building my Spotify playlists but the offer of 5 subscribers on 1 $15 account is hard to argue. Just wish my (tech challenged/indifferent) wife, my kids, and I could listen to Spotify simultaneously without having to drop $50/month for 5 subs.

So Netflix has done it, I can now keep separate recommendations and viewing history for different family members.

We can even watch different things at the same time.

And this at no additional cost!!

Come on Spotify, fix this!!

I switched to Spotify from Rhapsody last year due to the better premium pricing and better content.

My family = me, wifey, and two teenage daughters love Spotify, BUT...now we fight with each other to use it at the same time.

With Rhapsody, which has since dropped its pricing to match Spotify at $10/month, I can stream different music to 3 different divices

at the same time.  Not perfect for a family of 4, but better than the usage wars now waging over my home wifi network.

We really love Spotify, but I feel I must migrate back to Rhapsody now.  Spotify please reconsider the 2012 postings to begging for

a family plan.  I would gladly pay more, but this is not an option.  Also Rhapsody radio(channels) works on Sonos, and Spotify radio

does not....which I've addressed in the past.  Please offer more choices!  Or just buy Rhapsody ;=).
