Discount Family Subscriptions!

Before I made the switch from Rdio to Spotify they (Rdio) came up with a pricing model that allowed families to purchase a slightly discounted subscription.  

 

$9.99 for single unlimited user

$17.99 for 2 family members (20% discount)

$22.99 for 3 family members (50% discount)

 

Would love to see a similar pricing model so the rest of the family could get in on the action!

Spotify doesnt accept my address or my premium plan, i introduce my address wich is the same as my family members and spotify decline,i am entering as an adicional accounter

It would be great to see multiple family discounts for households of only two people. My husband is a student so we only afford the student discount however we can't listen at the same time. The family option doesn't make sense as it seems basically adding another full premium account. I feel that there should be a middle price for this type of situation.

i live with my girlfriend and we used to pay premium family.

Every month Spotify says that they cant verify that we are family so they cancel my grilfriends account. right now becouse of that we have to pay the singular version living together. i dont understand whats wrong with her account.

Hey @eljordis

 

She should make sure to type the address exactly as the Admin did when accepting the invite, and also be sure all Family members use the same Internet connection (Home network) regularly. Not doing so may be the cause of her being left out. 🙂

Signed up for the Family Plan but when I send the invite the invited never receives it.

Can you try inviting them again from an incognito window or a different browser?

 

If that doesn't help, the member you’re trying to invite should change the email on their Spotify account, and then try inviting them again, sending the request to this new email.

I had premium family in my account, I cancelled because my husband did in his account (in another country). 

I can't get login with new member premium family because only show me "abroad 14 days ..." and I don't want restart my account.

 

How could I get login new account member premium family?

Hi, I just opened a family account and invited my wife. We have had separate Premium accounts for years. She is still on our old Swedish address, but we moved to France 18 months ago and I am on our new French address. When I now invote her over to our family account (we both live on the same address in France) it is not possible. It gives a faulty code "600". What shuld I do?

Hey @andmax

 

Assuming she lives with you in France, it's better to delete her payment info before changing countries. She will still be Premium until the remaining days of her subscription are used up.

 

What I'm suggesting you to do is this:

 

1. Go to her Subscription page.

2. Click UPDATE under Payment Info. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.

3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,

 

Note: If you have your Premium active she won't be able to remove her payment info. That's why it's important to cancel before removing her payment info.

 

After she's removed her payment info, change her country in profile to France, and let her accept your Family plan invite.
