Landscape orientation on Android

I use my iphone in my car for navigation and music. I prefer for my phone to be mounted in landscape orientation for navigation purposes, but the spotify app is hard to use when it is sideways.  constantly changing the orientation is inconvenient.  Could spotify implement a landscape orientation? even if it lacks some of the less important features.

When the android mobile app updated this week, the landscape feature was taken away.  The new interface is slick and a definite upgrade.  However,  I too use my phone for navigation, using a motorola dock for my phone.  Everything worked well together until spotify went and broke tne landscape feature.   This is annoying enough for me to give up my premium subscription and mobile app and only use the free version at home.

I hope this gets fixed because I  (used to) love spotify, but I'm not willing to pay for something that annoys me.

The old Spotify Android App was so bad, it was one reason for me to change to Rdio!

The new Spotify App is really nice and makes me want to change back to Spotify!

However: I am Using an audio dock at home and a navigation dock in my car for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, both of which need the phone to be in landscape mode! Without landscape mode in Spotify, the new app is useless for my purposes and thus prevents me form returning.

There are several people who need this: Tablet Users, users of smart phones with a side-kick-like manual keyboard, virtually any user with docking stations for their smart phones or tablets.

The new android app is really sweet, but lacking a landscape mode, it renders the app useless for a lot of purposes. Just read the comments on the android market and you will see, that I am right.

Spotify, please bring back landscape mode!!  My Xoom tablet docking stations (home and car) and TV connection only allow landscape mode, which makes viewing the new Spotify app almost impossilbe, even dangerous while driving.

just use an orientation app like set orientation or ultimate rotation. Works well on the xoom and you can set it to only work on spotify and be dormant otherwise - simples!

While my Android Pad is in the dock spotify is simply not usable because of the lack of landscape mode...

Please add horizontal screen orientation or "landscape" to the Android app! This is a must have feature for any music player. Whenever I dock my phone to listen to music the screen is sideways. I switched all of my music over from Google Music to find out that when I use my phone in the car dock or at home in the media dock it won't go horizontal. I'll be switching back to Google and Pandora until this is added. Annoying that this isn't included in the Android app and definitely not worth upgrading to premium without it.

Take the time to go in and file a bug, the more people they hear this from the better.

I honestly have started using "I heart radio" on my Xoom tablet when its docked in its speaker stand at home because navigating spotify is just too hard.  I love my subscription for spotify and don't want to cancel it, but this is silly.

Moto Atrix 2... I have premium, use it almost exsclusively in car dock... used to have rotation to landscape until recent update. I am thinking of cancelling subscription. c'mon, that's rookie sh*t.....
