Landscape orientation on Android

I use my iphone in my car for navigation and music. I prefer for my phone to be mounted in landscape orientation for navigation purposes, but the spotify app is hard to use when it is sideways.  constantly changing the orientation is inconvenient.  Could spotify implement a landscape orientation? even if it lacks some of the less important features.

Does anyone at Spotify Towers read these posts? I cannot imagine it would be hard to implement landscape mode in Spotify mobile, in fact you already had done so, teasing us with a taste of this haloed function before whipping it away with the latest 'upgrade'. 

Please reintroduce this vital function.

One of the fundamendal features of the smart phone, orientation change, and this wasn't included in the new version of Spotify for Android. WHAT?! I would love to have a landscape layout. Here is an example, taken from PlayerPro:

Agreed, this app could seriously benefit from landscape mode. For users who use a docking station in their vehicle or for Tablet users. I use the Transformer Infinity with the keyboard docking station, and it's rather annoying to have to tilt my head. It's also kind of annoying when I dock my razr maxx and have to tilt my head. And that my friends, is my only complaint about this amazing service.

Im just getting sick and tired using spotify on the motorola xoom tablet. i have an excelent dock with hdmi connector. this way i can play my music on the speakers in my home the problem is spotify sticks in portrait. this way i cant really use the apps anotherway that control is sideways. so i need to get the xoom out of the dock choose music and then put it back in the dock..

Its not even that hard to change. many people with rooted devices change a few rules of code and have portrait mode. so why the hell isnt it officially supported by spotify... are there only retards working on the android spotify app? im paying a pretty amount of cash every month! atleast make the app work descent! instead of these stupid useless updates the last few days.

I moved to Spotify, mostly because I thought the Android app might be better.

I was a paying customer for both Rdio and Mog and I was wrong about the Spotify Android app.  It is actually very clunky.  Mog is better or equal in most regards.

The only thing I like better on Spotify is the ability to download an entire playlist.  Mog did not have this.

I am likely going to move to another service in hopes of fining a service that cares about Android.  I mean, what else separates the services beyond interface?  They all have the same music selection....

It is disheartening to see the landscape request on these forums for months and no action from Sptify Android app developers.

I really think that Spotify just want to keep us tired. They said this option is too hard to implement to smartphone. Oh, really? I can install app in no time that can landscape Spotify right away and Spotify looks great. So Spotify, really? They said Spotify new look is horrible in landscape. They tested it? I landscaped Spotify with free app and look was awesome.

They just joke us. This need just some code for 5 minutes, no more, and they can't write it. But who can if not Spotify? Santa Claus? What's company is this. Ask help maybe? I think everyone can help you if you just ask... And telling to us app looks horrible in landscape, Spotify talking just bull**bleep**. And promised to us nothing.

So they promised this is high priority thing and they updated Android after this with some bug fixes and by providing equaliser to ICS... This sucks. And I feel we are pissed off customers, because we are promised before this is high priority feature and they released app update without this high priority thing. They are just fooled us.

Also keep in mind this landscape option was in old Spotify app.
