Landscape orientation on Android

I use my iphone in my car for navigation and music. I prefer for my phone to be mounted in landscape orientation for navigation purposes, but the spotify app is hard to use when it is sideways.  constantly changing the orientation is inconvenient.  Could spotify implement a landscape orientation? even if it lacks some of the less important features.

I have Go Launcher on my S3 and it has a built in widget for spotify, which DOES live in Landscape mode, i use that for now but hate it, you could modify the old version of SPotify to make it run in landscape (i think it tricket the app into thinking your phone is a tablet)

I need this feature, I have an iPhone car radio that only allows the phone to be mounted horizontally, I will cancel my subscription if this won't be fixed

Why isn't this implemented yet?

The biggest problem with the idea forum is that you can't see when they set an idea for "Not right now".

I am guessing that the status was set over 8 months ago.

BUT THAT WAS 8 MONTHS AGO!

I notice this post is from nearly a year ago. This is a very small feature to add in the grand scheme of things, and would benefit the thousands of us that pay for premium to use the app, and want to use it most when landscape in a car dock, or even a desktop dock.

It's more dangerous to use the app when driving than it should be because you have to study it longer in order to read it sideways. 

Please, PLEASE add landscape orientation support in the Android app!

i use the oxygen audio head unit in my car, bought so i could use Spotify in the car as it THE best music software ive ever come across.

However... the lack of landscape orientation really lets the iPhone app down, i have to look at an ugly sideways app because this little thing is missing...

THIS SHOULD BE A HUGE PRIORITY FOR YOU!!! Why dont you listen to the people who pay your company ten dollars a month. Your apps only missing one darn thing AND ITS LANDSCAPE MODE. I have the Galaxy S3 and this is the only app I cant use place in the phone dock in my car WHICH IS WHERE I USE OFFLINE MODE 100% OF THE TIME! QUIT SLACKING

I absolutely love Spotify premium. The radio option was just too good not to have on mobile--so I gave up the older version for the 'non-landscape'. This isn't just an "awesome option" you have a world of mobile devices and a music applications... You must see that car-docks orientation is a quality of life feature. Limit the menus and info--but show that you actually understand your customer base and the niche that your product has for premium users. Status: Not Right Now on what is considered a very basic "feature" for mobile music applications doesn't really cut it 4-6 months after your product goes live.

I agree with this landscape for spotify IOS (Mobile) would be very very usefull im looking at doing a allmost perminate install with a spare iphone into my car and the phone would be in the landscape position

I will echo the TONS of other posters on here---we NEED, NEED, NEED a landscape mode for Android (and iOS). NOW. This is incredibly unsafe for drivers to be trying to fiddle with changing songs/playlists in vertical mode when the phone is sideways. I was almost in an accident the other day because of this. 

Devs, PLEASE--give us landscape mode for Android now. Most of us are paying customers as well, and this just isn't right to keep telling us it's on your radar without any action. Thank you.

I'm stunned that such a small but important feature Isn't implemented into the Android app. I very often listen to music in my car, and the lack of this feature just makes the app look unprofessional.

I don't understand why there isn't more kudos on this "idea"...
