Normal window behavior

Spoty ignores standard windows window behaviour and this makes it one of the few progrrams i use that just dont seem to want to work along with the standard.

if i drag the spotify to the top of the screen it should maximize like any normal application does.

if i drag a maximized spotify away from the top of the screen it should shrink down to the old size and alow for being dragged around.

windows key + left or right should resize the screen to half the screen and put it in the correct spot,

windows key + up should maximize spotify.

its all standard windows 7 behaviour and should be supported (when you work with 2 monitors like me its very handy if programs just behave correctly)

We're happy to announce that we've implemented this with the latest version of Spotify. Desktop version 0.9.6. is currently in the process of rolling out so be on the lookout for the update. Thanks everyone and keep the ideas coming!

Thanks Tristech awesome that you put the time into it. 🙂

I still want spotify to just update and fix their application tough so we dont need 3th party stuff to have something as simple as snap commands.

i currently switched over to DEEZER, it sucks i gotta keep a browser window open for it but o well its free and i dont have to bug around with spotify anymore 🙂

It's annoying that I have to resize the window while aero snaping nicely does that for you in multiple screen setup. Please consider fixing this issue.

I can't tell you how many times I have gone to resize the spotify window and am unable to because its not compatable with resizing or moving by dragging the window to different sides of the screen (also it would be nice if it was compatible with the areo effect when minimizing/maximizing as well) Please update.

I think this is related to Windows Aero support, which Spotify does not currently have.

There is another idea posted on that topic here:

My post is for the aero snap feature I could care less if it had a clear window I just want a smooth animation when minimizing and mazimizing and the resizing feature. Similar to how itunes runs on a windows PC. But I can see the confusion.

Without a doubt, the most annoying aspect of the Spotify Windows client (for me.

As It is now Spotify presents like a poor Mac software window : (

Why is this an "idea"? it should be a bug that breaks with the standard functionality of Windows so they should be worried about fixing it instead of waiting for a certain amount of kudos to do the right thing. lol

How can we report this as a bug?
