Retina MacBook Pro

Any news on an update to support the super-higher resolutiions for the Retina MacBook Pro? Everything is currently pixel doubled and looks awful in the new resolution, would be great to see an update? Smiley Happy

Updated: 2015-12-10

Hey folks, we're happy to confirm we now have Retina MacBook Pro support in the Desktop app. Thank you for your continued feedback here in the Idea Exchange, we're listening.

Fully supporting this thread, been using spotify since it came out, but this gui isnt working for me at all on the MBP Retina..

Adding my weight to this. Some of the text in Spotify looks good, but images definitely need pixel doubling!

I could live with blury images, that's a part of retina life thanks to webpages. But the font being blurry in things like the search drop down is painful.

We need it soon I've never seen something so disgusting in my life!!!!!!!!!!

Agree!

Adding my support to this also! It would really take little effort and seeing as hi-DPI icons etc have already been produced for the retina iPad/iPhone it really shouldn't be an issue.

Come on, get your swedish butter fingers working on this.

Please don't let this be another failure like the iPad app, I don't want to have to switch to Rdio permanently, especially now that it's available in Sweden unlike with the iPad senario.

Looking forward to this relatively easy update (being a developer and fully aware of the amount of work behind it).

+1 looks really awful, at least text rendering should be an easy fix, and later on you can provide high-res album work ...
