[Social] Bring back Inbox/Messaging with Notifications

The Inbox/Messaging feature did not get a real shot at even being a feature because Spotify took away notifications for new messages. Give Inbox/Messaging some development so users can continue to privately share songs.

Entiendo que el sistema de mesajeria te llevabará una gran parte en mano obra, pero tu servicio con esta nueva incapacidad que le sumas a la plataforma te va a ir quitando popularidad y seguidores, tenlo por seguro.... estas haciendo de tu plataforma un sitio incompleto, 

Saludos a los inconformes y uno no muy coordial a Spotify.. sí quieres dinero acambio de lo que haces deberías sumar, no restar posibilidades.

I understand that the messenger system will take a large part in hand work, but your service with this new Disability that you add to the platform is going to remove Popularity and Followers, keep it for sure .... you are making your platform a Incomplete site, (it's unfortunate) Greetings to nonconformists and One not very co-ordinated to Spotify .. If you want money exchange of what you do you should add, there is no subtract possibilities

100 percent agree with everyone here. I don't post in forums but I came to this one specifically to vote for chat/inbox feature to be returned. I started using Spotify because I thought it was so cool that I could see what my friends were listening to and interact with them over the chat feature without going to some other service. All in-house integration was beautiful. I carry full conversations with cousins and people all over the world on Spotify. Stripping a feature like this make me want to cancel my subscription and move to a streaming service that is interested in enhancing their users social experience with music like Soundcloud. Figure it out guys.

ABSOLUTELY GUTTED! My son and I constantly sent each other messages, it has really spoilt my enjoyment of Spotify. BRING IT BACK NOW!

The inbox and direct sharing were some of my most favourite parts of being a spotify user. Please reconsider reviving these impotant features.

I wanted to echo the words of everyone whom have posted here.  I'm a little late to the discussion.  When I noticed that the inbox was gone, I assumed it was going to go back to normal after a short period of time (an update or something).  I'm very dissappointed that this feature was removed.  I also highly depended on this feature.  When I would noticed songs that my friends or family would like, I wanted to send it directly to that person.  This is a huge feature I use and a huge reason why I keep Spotify.  This really makes me question whether to continue my business with Spotify.  I really love using the service and it's surprising to me how much I relied on sending songs to people.  I hope that Spotify gets the feature back.  Not sure what other services offer that feature and disappointing that I even have to look.  Hope to see it come back!

I was so upset to see this feature disappear. About 3 months ago you took away the functionality of being notified when someone sent you a song. How can you test how many people are using it when you're not giving it a fair chance? I really thought you took it down to de-bug it. Please bring this back. I want to send A SONG to A FRIEND, not post a song to the facebook page that I don't have, or the twitter account that doesn't include my Spotify friends. Music is a beautiful thing and being able to send it to a specific person is amazing. I've always said Netflix needs to follow in your steps so you can share shows with people. I wish everything I used had that funcitonality to be honest. Don't ruin this for everyone!

YES, PLEASE bring back the inbox for individually sharing songs with followers/friends NOT connected to Facebook.  I have so many friends that use Spotify that do NOT use Facebook and since you took away the inbox feature, I can no longer share songs I like with them and vice versa! 😞 PLEASE SPOTIFY!
