[Social] Bring back Inbox/Messaging with Notifications

The Inbox/Messaging feature did not get a real shot at even being a feature because Spotify took away notifications for new messages. Give Inbox/Messaging some development so users can continue to privately share songs.

The easiest way would be comments on peoples playlists with no option to respond. 

For communications Spotify video chat is most ideal.

A feature that would be fantastic to add to Spotify would be the ability to message friends through the platform, share each other's listening activity, and send songs and playlists.

Hello I had an idea today that I thought would be nice. I want to send songs to my girlfriend but don't want to randomly throw them during conversations. An Inbox on the Spotify app would let me send songs directly without spamming our chats. Thanks for reading!

I love this idea! I often want to nerd out with friends on what we're listening to. I want to add to this by adding other methods of finding friends besides Facebook. A better friend search function or link to Insta or something

We have the ability to Follow users profiles, however this has no real purpose. There is no "friends" tab and they don't show up in a search. You have to have a playlist or something already shared with them. To get a playlist shared with them you have to send a link via text/3rd party messaging app. These invitation and jam invitations should all exist WITHIN the spotify app. There is already a "what's new" notification window, why do jam invitations not appear here for people and they can just join WITHIN the app without having to use a 3rd party service, email, NFC to join jams or accept playlist invitation.

Listening to music together and sharing is a massive social activity and having easier social interaction is needed.

Spotify desktop program used to have this feature in ~2011. You could message another user/friend a song to listen to. They got rid of it.
