Add "remove video content" option to Spotify Family

Please add an option to "remove video content" to Spotify Family! Since video podcasts were added, my children now watch videos on Spotify instead of listening to music.  I had given them unlimited access to Spotify (unlike other apps) because it was only used for music.

All you'd have to do is add another toggle for "remove video content" next to "Remove explicit content".

Spotify Kids is not an option for us.  My children are teens and tweens.  And because they're teens and tweens, they have a very difficult time turning off compelling video content (just like some adults).  If Spotify becomes just another screen to stare at, I'm not sure we want to keep our Family membership.

It’s really sad that this request has been open for so long. Having fine grained control over the type of content one sees should have been an option from the moment you decided to move from a music platform to a media platform. Many of us aren’t interested in consuming other types of media on Spotify, and it definitely erodes the value. We are seriously considering switching and I would not recommend Spotify to anyone with kids.

Spotify kids is not an option for lots of families and older kids.

77 pages of comments, 3 years and still going strong.

That's not the first, second or even fifth "idea" that I see here going on for years and ~100 pages of comments. At this point I'm just morbidly curious if there was at least 3 ideas that were implemented. like ever

What's announced is great BUT it's only available to Premium Family accounts, not Basic Family.  I'm not going to upgrade my account to add parental controls that should exist on every family account, and these types of safety-related features should not be used as an upsell.

I also have no idea why managed accounts are limited to under 13 years old-- my 13 year old is the primary reason I'm concerned about this video content, and she's the one using Spotify video features to bypass controls and time limits I have on video/social content apps.

My trial with Tidal is going well and it's the same price as Basic Family, so this announcement doesn't change anything for me.  I'll be migrating my family later this month.

Can anyone even confirm if that feature is available in the USA?

Can anyone confirm that videos can actually be disabled?

I am a teen myself and spotify is the one app that I didn’t have screen time restrictions on. At one point, youtube videos started popping up on Spotify, and I as a very impulsive teen (like many) used this to bypass my limits. Eventually I realized I was staying up too late and being less productive because of my impulsivity and these videos. I told my parents and asked for them to add Spotify to my downtime. Even so, my productivity is still impacted because it’s now just another source of useless but addictive content waste. I would like to be able to regulate my impulses, and TURN OFF VIDEOS. Three words Spotify, not hard. I spend roughly 1/2 of the time I would normally be listening to music, watching useless junk. SPOTIFY IS FOR MUSIC AND PODCASTS. NOT YOUTUBE VIDEOS. Well known youtubers are being uploaded to Spotify. This raises potential copyright infringements and other issues. If this isn’t fixed, Spotify could face issues that are less dodgeable, then the thousands of parents asking for a simple solution to keep their kids safe and productive. I’m sure there are tens of thousands of parents who don’t know about this but deserve to know when their rules and being abused. Fix this Spotify, three words: TURN OFF VIDEOS

I finally canceled my Premium subscription with Spotify and moved to Apple Music: 5€ less in the Family subscription and better Classic Music features with separate App.

It is a shame what Spotify became...

Add the option for all premium memberships I'm on duo and I would kill for this option
