Add "remove video content" option to Spotify Family

Please add an option to "remove video content" to Spotify Family! Since video podcasts were added, my children now watch videos on Spotify instead of listening to music.  I had given them unlimited access to Spotify (unlike other apps) because it was only used for music.

All you'd have to do is add another toggle for "remove video content" next to "Remove explicit content".

Spotify Kids is not an option for us.  My children are teens and tweens.  And because they're teens and tweens, they have a very difficult time turning off compelling video content (just like some adults).  If Spotify becomes just another screen to stare at, I'm not sure we want to keep our Family membership.

Please, let us control if our kids can or can not watch video podcast.

Or do a content moderation so things like this are not allowed in our kids spotify apps.

This feature needs to be added.

My kids will be disappointed when I cancel the subscription, but this video **bleep** needs to be an option to turn off for parents.

I've spent quite awhile finding which music streaming platform to use, and after a lot of recommendations for Spotify, we subscribed to the family plan. I didn't know video content was even available on Spotify.

As unrealistic as it may be, if this issue isn't addressed in the very near future we will be canceling our plan, and I will no longer recommend Spotify to parents.

ashwied

Yes, this needs to be possible.

There is another idea suggestion thread that already has a good standing rating. Maybe try voting on that one too.

Same problem here! Thanks to spotify I don't have control, how much and what my Kids are watching, why does it take so long, for such a minor and essential change?

Tofsy

Totally agree myself. Had to remove Spotify from my 10 years old daughter who was starting to watch videos instead of music.

You should be able to turn that off for parental control.

I will be cancelling my family subscription if not fixed, cannot live with that.

I desperately need this feature as well. My children abuse the Spotify app for excessive video consumption.
I'm seriously considering to cancel my Spotify Family subscription because of that.

Same problem here. My kids are are abusing the Spotify app for excessive video consumption and I can't do anything about it 😞

Update : I've cancelled my Spotify familly account to switch to an Apple Music Familly subscribtion. Same price but it allows to manage video on each device with a parental code.

Hi,

I am not a big fan of Apple. But if they provide what I need... Considering this too.

@minhtam78:  Does this also work well for Android Devices?
