[All Platforms] Block / disallow suggestions for certain content

The last 8 times I've opened Spotify I've been greeted by a big waiting Bible podcast recommendation sat there. I get the hint Spotify, but stop. It was cool the first time. It was boring the second. And it is in fact so annoying by the 8th time that I have to write this post to ask for this feature to be implemented.

I hope it's been made clear: I don't want to listen to the bible, much less on Spotify, and there is no way within the app to ask it to stop recommending me this, honestly, outrageously offensive content. I would very much appreciate this feature, thanks in advance. I'm sure the bible people would appreciate such a feature as well!

I would go a step further and urge spotify to allow us to turn off the Podcasts feature. My front page on this app is for me, it's my music and my space. I trust in good faith that you will suggest at worst bad music to me, and when right wing content is suggested you lose that trust in an instant as well as my engagement. Suggesting Joe Rogan or similar right wing podcasts is harmful. If you suggest people that want to harm me or my family - that those people are recommended at all means Spotify as a company doesn't care about it's users or their safety. I would really appreciate never seeing a Joe Rogan or other similar podcasts in my suggested and if you can't do that, I will cancel my Spotify membership.

This is a repost from a different thread with the same topic.  I’m not sure if that one got posted properly so I’m putting this here as well…

I have been reading through the massive list of people asking for a simple option in regards to removing podcasts from the Recommended list on the Home Screen and the numbers are staggering.  Hundreds, if not thousands of requests (when combined from ALL the threads that address this topic) have been asking for this since 2019.  In June 2023, Spotify announced that a “Not Interested” button had been added to the subpages (NOT the Home Screen).  I have tried this option and discovered that it does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!  Podcasts that I SPECIFICALLY LISTED as “not interested” are still showing up in Discover podcasts, even on the subpage Podcasts & Shows.  

I am not asking for recommendations to be removed, that’s the only way I’m going to see new things so I understand why this option will never disappear. What I AM asking for is a simple “do not show me this particular podcast again” option.  I’m able to do this during Smart Shuffle in my music playlists and that works just fine so I know this isn’t some crazy, impossible programming ask.  Specific recommendations that continue to show up after I have indicated that I DO NOT LIKE THEM in a service that I PAY TO CUSTOMIZE seems like either poor programming, professional negligence, or blatant favouritism to higher paying content creators.  

P.S. While I cannot read or comment on any specific post’s level of offensiveness if it’s been removed, I find it EXTREMELY IRONIC that moderators have the option of removing something that they find offensive while paying customers, who have been asking for this simple option for YEARS, cannot do the same.  I have seen “post removed due to inappropriate language” on just about all of the threads that are begging for a simple Please-Let-Me-Remove-This-From-My-Suggestions option in podcasts and it never ceases to amaze me.

I like some podcasts and gladly receive RELEVANT suggestions SIMILAT to what I already listen to.

But I get really shitty recs and I mark the "not interested" every time, several times a day and still you just suggest the same shitty influencer true crime murder mystery podcasts every **bleep** time I go to my start page.

Please give us choices AND respect them.

There are other services you know and I'll leave Spotify real soon if you don't improve.

Please remove the "recommended content" that shows up on Spotify as it also appears in CarPlay on the car screen.  We have a family with young kids and I don't want them to see / access podcasts with adult content.

I have cancelled my premium subscription because of the constant suggestion of the same podcast I find offensive.

Not beings able to content flag podcasts is bad enough, but not being able to block certain ones is anti-consummer.

Being able to block these suggestion is the only way I'll use Spotify again.

Please prioritise this as a feature to implement - I've clicked "Not interested" multiple times and rated it poorly - and worked with a support agent to complete delete my app and reinstall losing all my downloaded content in the process only to find that it hasn't changed a thing.  I listened to a podcast maybe a handful of times but this chick is just whiney and loves swearing for the sake of it.  I'm so over it auto playing. I don't want to turn off the auto play feature which seems to be the only (drastic) option.

In particular I kind of hate seeing this every time I log in and would love the ability to block this and other misinformation podcast.

If I see Joe Rogan on my suggestion again I'm changing to Deezer or something. I'm paying to listen to things I want to hear not trash like his stupid podcast.

Ich habe einmal in einen furchtbaren Podcast reingehört und bekommen den jetzt die ganze Zeit wieder angezeigt und wenn neue Folgen rauskommen das ist derartig nervig dass ich echt am überlegen bin die App wieder zu deinstallieren... Wofür hat man den Premium wenn man nicht mal verhindern kann dass man gewisse Inhalte ständig angezeigt bekommt das ist einfach so widerwärtig nervend
