[All Platforms] Block / disallow suggestions for certain content

The last 8 times I've opened Spotify I've been greeted by a big waiting Bible podcast recommendation sat there. I get the hint Spotify, but stop. It was cool the first time. It was boring the second. And it is in fact so annoying by the 8th time that I have to write this post to ask for this feature to be implemented.

I hope it's been made clear: I don't want to listen to the bible, much less on Spotify, and there is no way within the app to ask it to stop recommending me this, honestly, outrageously offensive content. I would very much appreciate this feature, thanks in advance. I'm sure the bible people would appreciate such a feature as well!

I would prefer a 'Block all Podcasts' button, but I will settle for blocking them one at a time. Or maybe a "Don't suggest podcasts" option. I'm sure there's worse mood killers but I know that, for me, seeing Mike Rowe's sleazy face doesn't really do it for me.

The admins here are doing a poor job of consolidating recommendations.  First, this should be for ALL PLATFORMS, not just mobile.

This feature has been requested in numerous posts scattered about the forum. The problem is that the ADMINS move and consolidate topics improperly and offer no recourse. If you search block podcast, or block artist, there are several similar requests that could be satisfied by implementing this ONE, but they don't get enough traction because they are coalesced by unskilled workers.

It took me awhile to find this thread. I have the exact same problem -- I do not want to see the Joe Rogan podcast recommended to me.

Maybe if this idea were easier to find, it would have more votes (currently needs >500 in order to be considered as a feature to implement). I am sure that at least 500 people would love the ability to prevent the Joe Rogan podcast from being recommended to them, in addition to many people who would like to hide other irrelevant podcasts.

You used to have better censorship than this. And believe you me Savage, id rather the joe rogan podcasts than the one i got now. It makes me sick to think spotify would ever support something like creepypasta and i too am among those who would have the dislike feature enabled so we who did not care for such would not get it at all and not just for mobile platform.. for ALL platforms from android to apple, mobile to pc.

Heads up Devs.. you NEED to re enable that personal censor button that we used to all have at one time thanks to your programming genius.

I honestly can't believe Spotify thinks this is an appropriate podcast to feature prominently on the main Podcast page.

I am frankly horrified that this is the kind of partnership they have.

I don't even have an option to hide his face, and I have found I end up avoiding the Podcast page entirely. It makes me nauseous to even think about the size of audience they are bringing to his content.

Way to promote misogyny, white supremacy and transphobia, @Spotify!

Please put in an option to just hide or get rid of stupid recommendations and ads. I've seen it a million times on here already and nothing has been done why..... we pay for your service and its a very simple request that has been given many many times. I know it's not difficult to implement because EVERY OTHER MUSIC STREAMING APP HAS IT!! I love Spotify but I have gotten extremely annoyed with them now because it is recommending some weird ass podcasts on my home page when I listened to a single podcast once........... like what...I'm getting recommendations for VERY weird podcasts that I've never even considered listening to..... not only is it embarrassing to have these podcasts on my homescreen but it is a pain and a hassle. I will be revoking my subscription if nothing is done about this issue. Spotify needs to listen to their customers before they lose them. ALLOW US TO GET RID OF TERRIBLE RECOMMENDATIONS SO YOU CAN RECOMMEND THINGS WE MAY LIKE INSTEAD OF JUST TAKING UP SPACE ON MY HOMESCREEN FOR DISGUSTING PODCASTS THAT I WILL NEVER EVEN CONSIDER LISTENING TO.... This has been going on for years on Spotify and they don't care whatsoever they are getting paid by Podcasters to promote the podcast and they can't change it without losing a ton of money...sad and pathetic....they lost another member of premium because they think a few podcasters paying for ad space is worth it. I really hope enough people upvote this issue so that Spotify can see the amount of premium users they have lost over the years for a simple "do not show" or "hide" or "don't recommend" button on podcasts that people don't listen too. We pay for the service to not get ads so what does Spotify do, they put ads on your home page without having to call them ads so they can have a different stream of revenue. Again sad and honestly pathetic but whatever I'll be revoking my premium membership and ill switch over to Samsung or Apple music or **bleep** maybe even just YouTube premium. There are better services out there but damn Im gonna miss Spotify and I really wish they would just listen to they customers who have complained about this since 2019 and we are now in 2021 and oh might I add that that thread that is telling you to implement the hide button has almost 1500 likes at this point.

why  the podcast hiding feature has yet to be introduce yet ? . I am getting annoying podcast feed that I have zero interest on my home page with disturbing cover photos. I paid premium, and I do not wish  to see  these trash  my home page . I have the right to avoid it !
