[All Platforms] Organize Liked Songs by genre

I like the new update where you can save music into the "Liked Songs" group where it sorts music by song, album, and artist. There should also be another filter: Genre. I listen to all different genres but there are times when I want to listen to only one type of music.

Come on Spotify will  you please do something about "Albums" so that we can sort them into groups by some method or another. Even Windows Media Player lets you do this using genres!

I often wonder if the people creating spotify actually use it, cause some of the features we ask for seem pretty obvious and would make it much more user friendly. Or perhaps I am using it wrongly?! So, in that case, can Spotify please tell me how I should be using Spotify such that I wouldn't want an obvious way to find and sort music I have saved.

Hi,

I just come back to spotify from Apple music (a 3 years of unfaithfulness) this option exist on Apple Music and it's very usefull. I agree with the autor, sometimes you want to listen only one style of music (from your library).

I tried to add playlist with the tool "organize your music" frome spotify but max 400 songs can be see so with a +3000 songs library thats **bleep**. the tool is a good idea but not enought developped IMO

Please look at this option in "YOUR MUSIC" will be kind.

Regards.

If this is included it could allow for more depth in the discover section enabling more tailored and specific setlists and styles. Or on the flipside it could also be used for when people don't want to listen to a specific genre of music.

Was told to post this here as a comment instead of a seperate post.

It would be very nice if I could sort my artists by the genre/country they play/live. Let us to define how we want to sort our artists without pre-settings. As I'm a person that likes to organize everything that I have, I think it's very unconfortable to see one band of Black Metal alongside one of Hip Hop, or a Bossa Nova between Thrash Metal and Folk. It just doesn't fit.

There are moods on music, but not on the library, makes a lot of sense to be on both if you recognize it as a feature.

This its really nice option,
All of us sometimes wants just listen only jazz and other day only techno music!

This is something I really need to be implemented! I have so much music in my library that it’s hard to find certain songs, especially when I don’t know the name of the song because I have thousands... having a genre section would make it much more easier for me to find certain songs. (Also, I’m a newbie on here but I’ve had Spotify for years.)

Why the **bleep** not? I have never seen a music service not offer a Genre tab next to Songs, Artists, and Albums. It's a fundamental, great, and basic way to sort through your library to listen to music. And it's not like Spotify doesn't have the metadata for the genre tags or anything, becuase I can use a third party webstie to analyze my library and spit the genres for my saved music back at me. Why do I have to use a third party website in order to see this information? There is no good reason for excluding a Genre tab with the rest of them, especially when Spotify creates so many genre-focused playlists anyway. The ability is obviously there, so it's a purposeful decision to not allow paying, premium users to see the genres of their own music libraries. Absurd.
