[Android] Landscape mode on Now Playing view

When using my phone in the car I put it in a car holder. The holder is horizontal in order to have better view for navigation etc. I use spotify also a lot in the car but when using the playing music I'm not able to rotate the screen but the playlists dose rotate

Cannot remember how many years been premium member but it's probably time to use other services.. Very disappointed with Spotify developers.. Its been reported months ago and still no resolution .. It's most likely one line of code!

Landscape mode please!

I don't understand this either. Again, competition like Google Music works just fine. Why can't Spotify implement this? I ALWAYS have my phone landscape in my car. I can't stand that when i'm playing an album that it won't rotate in landscape.

I've had to resort to an app on Google Store to make it work. I shouldn't have to though. Shouldn't need a 3rd party app for a basic function that clearly everyone wants. I'm starting to realize, that maybe my yearly subscription would have been better spent elsewhere if a company can't offer a simple request that should be standard by now anyway. It's almost 2020.

For as many times as this app gets updated, it's way over-due.

I've been having the same issue Spotify won't turn to landscape mode. On my Android phone But I have figure it out. If you put it in car mode will change to landscape mode. Again, if you have it in car mode, it will change to landscape mode.

This feature is STILL active in the app and you can see the old landscape view/player for a split second before the app forces portrait mode. Really sad they are trying to force you to use car mode... Don't they realize lots of people still use landscape mode when they're not driving?! Been a premium subscriber for a long time and I'm considering just rolling back my app to an earlier version that still had this feature.... Might even cancel my Spotify if they keep doing **bleep** to the mobile app

It's a real shame because it would look really nice, and that they have
landscape mode in the rest of the app, just not the player
