[Android] Remove the Shuffle / Play Button

Hi, I tried out your new design, which I have mixed feelings about, but nevermind that. The most annoying thing I come over in the new Spotify (for iPhone by the way) is the dumb, big, overlapping, unnecessary shuffle play button that pops up everywhere. Is this a bug or is this on purpose? Could at least had add an option for it. Also, it doesn't look streamlined at all with the current design. Did it even occur that not everyone wants a shuffle play button?

I really hate this button. On android you can just install an older Spotify version. On iOS you can't. Please make it possible to disable this annoying button. There's an option to shuffle in the curren song overview, why do I need this huge pointless thing? Thanks.

I agree this Shuffle Play button is annoying.

A lot of times I search for an album and want to play it from the beginning in the order that it was intented. (Who wants to listen to Dark Side Of the Moon in shuffle mode?)

How about a "Play" button and a "Shuffle Play" button next to each other?

What I wind up doing is choosing the first track and then I'm left not knowing if it will shuffle after the first song or play song 2, 3, 4 etc.

When you click on the first track, make sure that the shuffle feature is turned off. You may need to swipe right until the first track is appears in front of you but I Never have and never will listen to Dark Side of the Moon shuffled!

Shuffle should be an option. I refuse to constantly monitor my playback that i pay good money for to not hear an ALBUM in sequence. I still wonder why this all has changed. I will kill my longstanding payed subsriction and let down everyone I care about very soon if this is not resolved. Every single person in my life is a musician and or a huge music fan. I and they all rely on the fact that the music we listen to is intended to be an album, start to finish. We understand that most of your base knows no better, but considering the recent boost in vinyl sales, you need to understand our concerns. Most of your listeners and subscribers are music fans, not 'most recent single fans'. Albums by all decent musicians are and have always been meant to be albums with a story, that means all songs in order.

It sounds like some premium subscribers feel like they can only listen to an album in shuffle mode. This is not true. You need to tab the first song and as long as you have not enabled shuffle-mode in the playback controls you will be listening to the tracks in the correct order.

However, this just shows how insane this user-expirience is. People think they are forced to shuffle when they actually are not. If you'd only make this button smaller (or add a normal play button) for premium subscribers, you would ease a lot of pain.

You can turn off shuffling, yes, but you still have that big, fat, green
shufflebutton in the middle of the screen. Anoyed me away from Spotify and
over to Tidal.

allow to choose in settings whether one wants a "Shuffle play" button or a "Play" button. 

i feel stupid needing to scroll down to the first track and tap on it in order to play an album/playlist in the correct order.

i understand that an artist's main page should show a shuffle play button. but there's really no purpose in shuffle playing an ALBUM.

You need to take if the shuffle button it't been three years since you posted that I like to listen to the music I want Un the order that I like it in so please take of the darn shuffle button
