[Android] Remove the Shuffle / Play Button

Hi, I tried out your new design, which I have mixed feelings about, but nevermind that. The most annoying thing I come over in the new Spotify (for iPhone by the way) is the dumb, big, overlapping, unnecessary shuffle play button that pops up everywhere. Is this a bug or is this on purpose? Could at least had add an option for it. Also, it doesn't look streamlined at all with the current design. Did it even occur that not everyone wants a shuffle play button?

The button is still there (in premium account). So big and so useless. Is that a huge problem to make the SHUFFLE PLAY button in android app little bit smaller? In many cases, the part of an album spirit is the list of individual songs' order. Very disturbing and amateurish is this crazy button 😞

Yes, the button is still there - I just updated too hoping it was goner.
So the sequence is:1. Press "Shuffle P_lay"2. Bring up the track it's playing3. Locate the extremely small shuffle icon, and click that4. Good until next time.
Why is it so difficult to just have a Play button there ? No-one wants to listen to music all scrambled up, we want to hear it in the order that the musicians intended.Please, for the love of God, provide a standard "Play" button - I'm seriously considering cancelling my subscription.

Get rid of the darn shuffle play button! I don't want it and I don't use it and neither do most other people, why on earth would I want to shuffle an album?! I obviously want to listen to it in the order the artist intended for the listener to, especially albums where tracks run into the next track! Please please please change it for just a play button that defaults to the first track and then plays in order!

I struggled for 10 minutes last night trying to figure out how to just play an album straight through on iOS. Hitting Shuffle Play and disabling shuffle did NOT work. The queue kept going to another unrelated song.

Not being able to play an album straight through on mobile is a major miss, UX-wise. In the list of basic features for an audio player, playing an album in order has to be right after (or very close to) playing a single track.

Please fix this. If I didn't like Discover Weekly so much, this would be enough for me to cancel my Premium account. And when the competition inevitably catches up, basic UX like this will be my deciding factor.

I wish that darn shuffle button would be gone and soon!  Thanks elpaolo79 for mentioning Discover Weekly. I took a look and I really like it.

Holy **bleep**.. I just recently signed up again to Spotify after years out using Google play instead.

open up the android app and BOOM! Years of annoyance comes washing back over me.

"SHUFFLE PLAY"...

It was the one reason i left you before and

the same reason I'm leaving again very shortly...

Such a dumb design idea it's beyond me it's still there..

Imagine you pop your favourite cd into your cd player. hit play song nr 6 comes on, then 2, then whatever next. Id throw my cd player in the trash!

it's just a fundamental design flaw in any app that plays music, you don't default to Shuffle play.......

I paid for premium but my music is still shuffling!!!! Driving me insane!!!! How do i turn it off?

What does it actually do?  If I hit it is seems to pick a random new song... if I leave it alone the next song is random.  Do you have to long press to turn it off?

This huge shuffle button really puts me off Spotify. Please make an option to hide it. Awful design.

If you're not using premium you can only play songs in shuffle mode anyway so it doesn't matter if you use it or not your songs will never be played in order.
