Change/ Disable voice personality of AI DJ

As the title says, it would be a great feature if we could change or disable the voice or personality of the AI DJ.

You know what I really miss? Local radio DJs interrupting my music with some banal chatter. Said no one ever. Not only does the voice not serve a purpose, it actively makes using Spotify worse. Live recommendations are great but they essentially don't exist for me if I have to put up with the voice.

Why hasn't this been resolved after 8 months since the original request? It's a simple feature change, not rocket surgery.

Why change? This is what the customers want, they just haven't understood
the greatness yet.
Wait until we remove the possibility to listen to anything without the DJ,
then 100% of the customers will love it! Who wouldn't want the DJ to break
in when you listen to a musical, or a live jazz set, or an opera?

In case anyone hasn't figured it out yet, what Spotify have done for years is remove features that people liked, add unwanted features, make the interface worse, and then refuse to ever change any of it back. This forum acts as a kind of pressure release valve for frustrated users to shout into the void.

The DJ is pretty good but I literally always skip the voice. It feels like the tech people wanted to add a "cool feature" instead of making something actually nice.

 

Also, it would really not be that hard to just add a setting to toggle the voice off if you're that excited about it. Why do we have to beg for it on here?
