[Connect] Multiple Speakers / Devices simultaneously

Now that connect is becoming available it would be nice to be able to connect to multiple outputs at the same time. For example I have 2 connect compatable speakers... it'd be great to have these in different parts of my house and be able to stream the same music to both.

I would suggest a maximum of 3 devices at the same time. This will allow for most scenarios to be catered for without streatching the bandwidth too much that it will degrade quality.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange.

We've discussed this idea and while it is interesting, we aren't able to prioritize it and don't have any immediate plans to implement this. We will let you know if this changes in the future.

If we do have any new information to share, rest assured we'll check back in here with a new status.

More info on why your idea has been closed can be found here.

This should totally be priority, Spotify!

Boa noite tudo bem ?

I have a large home and I am slowly turning my home into a smart home, I have 2 display hubs and 1 nest mini, I would like to be able to listen to my music throughout my without risking the speakers blowing out in 1 of my smart  devices.

Multiple devices streaming with the same Spotify account in the same location (outdoor speakers and kitchen speaker) would make this much more user friendly. I don't really like having to stop it one place and start it at the other while moving around in the house. Makes it less than 'party-friendly'...

arekem

Any chance for that feature?

No there isn't.  Spotify is too busy on higher-priority tasks such as..  forcing you to listen to podcasts and making it harder to discover new music.

I know this post is old but I'm playing spotify music on my Yamaha home stereo and on my JBL boombox 3. but music is not synced together, there is a bite of delay betweenthe 2. Is thier a way to fix that?

Soo, this seem to go nowhere despite initial idea coming up 10 years ago?

What is this? A good idea but.... we aren't implementing it. Over time many, many users have asked for the functionality. The voting is closed- why? Because more and more people would indicate that this is wanted?

If I could find an android music app that would support multiple wifi speakers on the same network, I would cancel my subscription and change over in a flash. Anyone know of one?

In addition, I evidentally cannot "like" comments that have been posted later, voting is closed - so no possible picture of how many people have been hare asking about this feature.
