There used to be a mini player you could minimize spotify to on desktop that disappeared a few years ago - can you bring that back?

A native Spotify mini player setting for desktop should be a no brainer...other lesser streaming services are/have offered this basic setting for years. Why on earth would Spotify even let us download a 3rd party app like Mini Player to compensate for this? C'mon guys, you got the best service out there...take the winter tires off this Ferrari.
