Disability Concession for disabled people

I do notice that there is not enough kudos for this topic.    Are you sure?
I strongly believe that if you have discounts for students - able bodied in most senses- then physical and intellectually disabled people should receive the same concessions.

Monitoring the bona fide of this would not be hard.  The user would need to submit the details of their concession card.

I am writing this on behalf of my intellectually disabled sister who loves her music.  She has limited finances, and any financial discount helps her to access other things.

I just cannot believe in this age, that there is not enough “kudos” for this.   I’m sure the artist who get a token amount of money from Spotify would agree to monetary concessions to disabled people.
Spotify could do a great service to themselves and the community to concede to such an idea.   Don’t forget it is 2021.
Get with the times please

So it should be like amazon, discounts for students, people with disabilities, WIC, SNAP and state insurance? That would be amazing

MGTBI2018

I think this would amazing for the Spotify brand. Part of the reason student discounts are implemented, is for companies to show they are inclusive and empathetic towards students experiencing financial hardships. I had 2 Traumatic Brain Injuries in 2018. I owed over $200K in medical debt due to someone else's evil. It took me years to get on disability because of my age. Even now, it's not a fulfilling life whatsoever. But I remember the first few months after I woke up from my coma, my friend added me to her Spotify acct (back when u could). And I'd see a song id remember, and the app would recommend more songs that I had completely forgotten about due to my memory issues. it was so much more than remembering a song, the music took me back to memories that I woule have never gotten back. It helped me remember me, as I was changing into a less able person. Not only that, most people have to wait years before getting on disability. There's no help in the mean time.I struggled way more with this disability than as a student. By far .....extensively far. I get $1200 a month plus insurance, no other resources. How do u live off of that? I think by not giving disabled people discounts, you are showing that you don't promote inclusion. Anyone on disability, can't afford these things. They can't afford to survive. Any person with a disability knows this, as well as their loved ones. While this discount, might not result in the loyalty benefits like the student discount do believe it would expand and grow your market it marketed correctly. I'd also be curious to know if Spotify could collaborate with different artists to see if they'd want to either donate their music or stream it at a discounted price, which can be used as a marketing yool for them as well.
